Chapter 2: Into the Unknown

Chapter Song: All the Right Moves (we're goin' down) i dont know who sings this, so if you could tell me it would be appreciated.

AN: also, Koe's name is pronounced ko-ee so there's no confusion. everytime a character is introduced i'll put a pronunciation for their name as well. enjoy the story :)

Koe's p.o.v.

The car ride there was very long, i recalled passing the alley i had stayed in as my head hung out the window. The breeze flew through my hair and i stuck my tongue out, enjoying this new experience. Eventually i was pulled back into the vehicle and i yelped in surprise. It had only been Pit pulling me back in. "Kid, keep your head in the car. You almost just smacked your face off of that stop sign. be careful!"

I whimpered a little at his harsh tone, then i got extremely happy because i knew he was just trying to protect me. Then i realized that he had called me kid instead of my name and i pouted. "Pit, im not a kid. i'm fifteen! so call me Koe, not 'Kid'"

He smirked a bit and i could see a glint in his eyes. "whatever you say, Koe."

The way he said my name created a shiver that ran up my spine. It was said in such a way that i had never been spoken to. It seemed to be deep and quiet, a sensual sound.He seemed to take notice of my shiver and asked innocently, "are you cold, Koe?"

He did it again, and this time, not only my spine shivered but the rest of my body as well, even my tail. He snickered and just kept driving. After that, the car ride was mostly silent. Most of the way i just layed my head down and looked out the window. Then a thought occurred to me 'i have no idea where we are.'

"ah, Pit... where are we? it seems like we've been driving forever! are you sure you arent some kind of rapist...?"

He held back a laugh and just smiled at the road. "No, my house is all the way out here."

"but then... why were you in town?"

"i was on my way to a gig. and then i ended up hitting you with my car and had to cancel."

"oh." it made sense to me, so i just spent the rest of the car ride happy, looking out at the grassy fields on the sides of the road. I saw sand and eventually we came to a beach. I looked up at Pit with questioning eyes.

"This is where I stay for the summer."

My mouth formed into an 'O' shape, and then i realized.. WE WERE AT THE BEACH! with enthusiasm, i hopped out of the van and ran along the beach, feeling the sand on my bare feet. My ears perked up at the sound of seagulls, and I chased the water.

It was late, the sun was setting, creating the perfect array of colors over the sparkling blue ocean. I played all day, and i was exhausted so i curled up in the sand. Pit came up behind me and poked me playfully. "you do know you don't sleep outside anymore, right?"

I nodded sleepily. "yeah, i know. i just dont want to get up."

Before i knew it, i was in Pit's arms and he was carrying me up the beach, to a beautiful house. Surprisingly, it was the only house in sight. I looked back and forth for more houses. There were none. "okay, are you absolutely POSITIVE that you aren't a rapist? because THIS, this right here, is really suspicious!"

he sighed and looked down at me. "Koe, i promise you that i'm not a rapist. i just... im not a people person."

I just nodded in response as he carried me into the house. By this point, i was blushing madly and feeling quite childish, but who wouldn't? He took me up a flight of stairs, and into a bedroom and he layed me down on the bed. "There's only one room so we'll have to share. Is that okay?"

I smiled sleepily and nodded 'yes'. Pit left the room and came back a few minutes later in changed clothes, and he layed down next to me. The bed was big, so there was a lot of room. As i drifted into unconsciousness, all i could think was 'well, looks like i'm going into the unknown...'

AN: im really sorry if that was a sucky way to do the second chapter, but i think this was kind of needed as a filler. more stuff will happen later on, so im sorry if the beginning is kinda boring. so questions, Koe didnt get a good look at Pit's house so what do you think it looks like? why is pit messing with koe? oh, and whoever gives the best description of pit's summer house gets a dedication X3
