The pounding headache is the first thing that hit me, Next came the ringing alarm that made my head spin twice as fast. As I opened my eyes I looked around my plain new bedroom, This place needs work but I guess im too lazy to do anything right now, I guess my mother had decided that enough was enough, And Its about time she left that asshole of a husband behind.

We had just  moved to an area the people called "The Coast"  A couple days ago and I guess the name says it all, Its pretty much a town close to the ocean.

As I slipped out of bed I almost yelped when my feet hit the cold hardwood floor, Why was it so cold? Walking around the room I could still see the boxes stacked around, I couldn't really be bothered trying to look for clothes so I just walked downstairs in my boxer's.

To my surprise I walked into a group of people talking with my mother in the living room, A cheesy smile came into my attention as my eyes came into contact with a boy who seemed to be holding back a laugh, He was a year or two older than me. Then my eyes moved to my mother, Who raised her eyebrow clearly holding back a laugh, I blinked at her for a second before realizing that I was standing there in boxers.

As my face turned a deep crimson I sprinted up the stairs almost tripping up, I face-palmed as I got back into the bedroom, Catching my breath when the door was shut behind me.

Im such an idot! I mentally sighed.

I rummaged through some boxes before finding a printed tee and some shorts, Quickly putting it on and making my way back down.

As I made my way to the kitchen I could see that the boy from before was fidgeting with his phone, His head jerked up and I looked away twice as fast as I tried my best to look like I was making toast.

I put the bread back in to the fridge not really in the mood for toast, I looked through the cupboards slightly confused as to when my mother bought all this stuff. Like jesus woman we just moved here last night!

I finally decided on cereal as I sat down  on the kitchen island counter and ate while watching the people talk.

My mother was talking to a Man and a woman around her age I guess (Maybe older) But it took me a while to realize that there was a little girl sitting on the floor playing with some barbie dolls. I zoned out a bit as they talked about boring work stuff.

"Sam you better get of that counter or I swear to god I will-"

My head snapped up as my eyes connected with a glare which came from my mother, She quickly cut herself off, "Anyway, these are our new neighbors." She smiled,  "Okay lol" I mumbled with food in my mouth, As I slowly slid of the counter trying my best not to spill milk.

I sigh escaped my lips as I put the bowl by the sink and walked around for a moment trying to decide on what to do, I really wanted to check this place out, But I didn't know where the first place to start would be.

"I'm gonna go walk around town and stuff. Maybe check out the beach?" I blinked as My mum looked up at me as she mouthed "Take him with you" Nudging her head towards the boy who was preoccupied in his phone, I quickly shook my head and turned around to go back up,

"Maybe Derek would like to go too." Oh so his names Derek, My mother had always enjoyed making my life hell, She knew I didn't really get along with other guys, But I smiled at him as he looked up,  "Huh?"  Derek pulled out his headphones and looked around as my mum repeated herself, "Wanna go have some with Sam?" I groaned again,

"I'd love to." He smiled.

I quickly ran up the stairs picking up my phone and sighed seeing no new messages, I was really hoping my best friend Megan had messaged me, I slipped it into my pocket and went back down looking over to Derek, Who was waiting by the door, His singlet really bringing out his muscular arms, I quickly up and walked to the front door as I slipped on some flip-flops
