Chapter 6 - telling moony

Author note: I'm sorry I haven't updated in AGES but I'm planning on doing a few chapters tomorrow to make up for it. There has been a time skip in this story to where James is telling Remus in the courtyard. Im a terrible writer and this isn't my best work but thankyou for all the love I have received on this story. I have been writing another one as well, let me know if you want me to post it!

James was waiting in the courtyard for his friend to get some advice. 'Oh how I hope moony remembered' he thought. Luckily enough he did and had just been a little late. Remus showed up five minutes late with messy hair, undone top buttons on his shirt and his lips swollen.

"Wow Remus, looks like you and Sirius had some fun" James grinned and laughed a little when he saw the boys reaction. The shocked look on his face when James said that. He wasn't expecting him to say that at all.

"Oh sod of prongs" Remus replied, hitting James' arm jokingly. "So what is this mysterious thing you wanted to talk about?"

"Well uhh. Promise me to not tell a soul." James said seriously (Siriusly). Remus looked confused. Why wouldn't he be? "Well I won't tell anybody but I don't like keeping secrets from pads but it's your secret not mine so I won't say a thing, now what is it you wanted to tell me?" 

"Yes I understand but I wanted to talk to you about something important. The reason you can't tell Sirius because it has something to do with him. Well not him exactly just his reaction. I uhh- I wanted to talk to you about his brother." James told. He was scared of what his friend might think. He knew he could trust Remus but it didn't stop what he was feeling.

Remus looked at him sternly, not in an angry way but he looked at him with a 'go on then' look. James kept speaking "I have been hanging out with Regulus lately and I think I might like him. As in like like him. I'm just so confused and I need advice and that's why your the only person I can talk to". 

Remus smiled. He smiled WIDE and then engulfed his friend in a hug. "Oh James why didn't you tell me sooner? I won't tell a soul because if Sirius found out you would be six foot under. Now to understand more I have some questions ok." James nodded and for whatever reason, started crying. He didn't know if it was happy tears or sad. He decided on happy because he was accepted and finally got what was bothering ever so much off his chest.

Remus asked his questions, mainly about what happened, how he knew, when they started to hang out and what his sexuality was. James know he wasn't straight (obviously) but he wasn't exactly gay. He told his friend this and Remus just told him that he was probably bi or pan and explained what the two meant. James decided he was bi for now but he was gonna do some eraser he on other sexuality's are later. They left to go back to the dorm with smiles on their faces and talking about how the black family were so attractive, pranks to do on their friends and Severus and things about school work. Anything that came to mind really.

When they entered the dorm, they were greeted by Sirius who asked them why they came in so late to which they just used the excuse of having to stay back after classes end in herbolodgy to clean up the soil that they, and other students, spilled on the floor. They hoped Sirius wouldn't catch on to their lie but this excuse seemed to make sense to him. 

They talked for a while and eventually fell asleep.
