"Hey, Bretty, they're asking for the video. Said we could have a day at most until we could officially hand it over."
"Well then, love, let's check the video out together, yeah?"
"Mhmm..."
No fan knew that their relationship had been official since music university. They only speculated, they only teased, and they only dreamed that it was true. They just never knew that those daydreams were reality.
It had never been a big secret, they knew the TwoSetters would gladly accept it. But they wanted to have something to themselves and themselves alone.
They sat on the couch, cuddled up as the laptop began to play.
Some questions went by in a blur, while others made a familiar tinge of red appear on both cheeks. It made them fall in love for each other all over again.
"Who is your role model?"
"Eddy."
"Brett Yang."
Leaning closer, Brett whispered into Eddy's ear, "And you will forever be my role model. You deserve the world. I'm sorry I can't give it to you."
"Bretty, I have my world right beside me. I know I sound cheesy, but I don't care. I have my role model and my love right beside me, and that's all I want."
What is your superpower?
"I'm a very good talker."
"I'm a very gentle listener."
"We are..."
"A match made in heaven..."
They smirked at each other. The thing that had just happened was so familiar. It seemed like they shared the same thoughts, the same words, everything. That was why it was so easy to continue each other's sentences.
What sound or noise do you love?
"I love hearing the announcer's voice."
"I love hearing your voice..."
"Do you need an explanation, Eddy mine?"
"I'd never force you to give me something, love. Do as you please."
"I very much want to take that opportunity to tickle you, but since we have a deadline in front of us, I won't. I like hearing the announcers' voice because...because hearing that you won the competition just brings me to Cloud Nine. Your smile has that power."
Eddy smiled.
What is most important in your life?
"Family, friends, doing what you want to do."
"Finding a purpose that's greater than yourself."
"You're going to be family soon, when I find the courage to propose. Which family name shall we keep?"
"I think we can just connect both, eh? Chen-Yang has a ring to it. And I have already found that purpose. It's to make you happy to the best of my ability."
What were your dreams as a child?
"To become a soloist and travel the world."
"To be a lumberjack."
"Now, now, love. What do you mean you wanted to be a lumberjack???"
"It was a silly dream. I'm glad it didn't happen though."
Brett looked at him expectantly, waiting for him to continue. "Yeah?"
"While you wanted to go around the world, travel as a soloist, I held on to a promise you made to me. That you'd bring me everywhere you went. And I wanted to be useful, cause you've already done so much for me. We've built the legacy of TwoSetViolin, and you've never left me once, despite the fact that you were leaving the chances of becoming a soloist for our YouTube channel. I wanted to cut the wood for the luthier, so he could make the best violin you could possibly have. You deserve nothing less, Bretty. I wanted to build you a house away from the cities, so when you became a world-famous soloist, you wouldn't be flocked by fans who knew where you lived. I wanted to be a lumberjack, for you."
"What did I do to be so lucky to find a wonderful guy like this?" Brett thought.
What is the meaning of life?
They only look at each other, and that is answer enough.
"I love you, Bretty mine."
"I love you too, Eddy mine."
They lean in for a quick kiss, still as electric as the first one they'd shared.
"We can send this to them now, right?"
"Yup! We just gave them one hell of an interesting interview."
"You think they'll know about us?"
"Who cares?"
Then, they leaned in for another kiss once more. And perhaps, that one thing would lead to another, one that would probably last the whole night...
