Hera's POV:

A few days before the competition I was at the shooting range practising  my best shots. And of course my father was watching me as always. But you could tell by his grumpy look, he was never impressed. It's like he didn't want to be there. He probably only stayed so he could punish me if I did something wrong. I was the best shooter, and they called me  "Champ". Cheesy nickname I know, but I didn't do anything about it. But even if I was the best shooter my father would always tell me i sucked.

I was shooting perfectly, but of course my father still said it wasn't good enough. I honestly never understood why he didn't like me. I had been nothing but good. But of course my sisters would make up these lies of things I would do. Which would always get my father furious and lock me up in the freezing attic. The only light in the room came from a small gap in the window, so it was mostly just dark. The attic smelled like corpses, mostly because there was some corpses my father had hid away from the cops.

You might be wondering what my mother would always do about me being locked up. You might think she would be as bad as my father. But she was the nicest and most caring person I knew. At least I thought. My mother was manipulated by my father, to follow his excact orders. He only used her to make dinner, and do all of his chores. My mother wanted to get away just like me. But if my mother divorced my father, he would most likely just kill her. So she was stuck, just like me.

I was standing in the middle of the shooting range when I heard loud shouting finding it's way around the shooting range. My father was yelling at Echo. She had really been getting on his nerves lately. She had been seeing this guy, Xander, and our father really didn't like him. "Get out of my house" my father would scream at Xander. Xander was terrified of my father so of course he would just run away as he was told to. Echo was so angry at her father that she decided to run away. Forgetting the chip our parents planted into our forearms as babies.

Echo was obviously caught by our father, and he showed no mercy. Echo was only 16 so he didn't like her hanging out with boys. And therefore my dad would punish her hard whenever she was out with a guy.

When we would eat dinner, our father would always make us be quiet, and if we said a word without permission he would take us by our neck until we passed out. He really was the most horrible guy, but at least we were successful right?
