Chapter Two: Jake

Jake POV

So Juliet isn't my partner, which bums me out. "Mrs. McAdams, who is my partner?" I ask in a quiet voice, but I look her in the eye.

She gave me a warm smile "You're with Demitri." 

I feel butterflies in my stomach when she utters his name. Demitri. Oh wow. He's tall and thin, with dark brown, nearly black hair that covers one of his bright green eyes. He's got the sexiest snake bites I've ever seen. He smiles at me when Mrs. M says tells us, and suddenly, I don't feel bad about Jewels anymore. I walk over to our table.

"Hey" he said.

"Hey" I reply.

As you may have guessed, I have a crush on him, but he'll never know and he'll never like me back because I'm weird, I'm different, and I'm a gay penguin. As he places his notebook on the table and our hands touch, and I swear I feel something a bit, flirtatious. But it's probably just my imagination, since Demitri wouldn't do anything like that. Which bums me out. Realizing our hands are still toughing, I pull back quickly and say "Sorry bro."

"It's cool." he replies. But I swear I see some dissappointment in his eyes. Curse my imagination.  

We start the coffee experiment. He checks my heart rate at the beginning, as he leans in and gets close to me, I swear my heart is racing a mile a minute. I was then handed a cup of coffee to drink. We have to wait a while to see how the coffee is affecting me. As we sit there, my eyes keep darting to those delicious lips of his, and his snake bites just make them even more delicious. I can only fantasize about how much I want his lips to touch mine, and if I could only.... He must have noticed me staring at him, cause he turns around. Damn. I never realized we were sitting so close, he isn't too far from me. He turns back around and smiles at me. That must have made my heart race, because he checked my heart rate again and he gave a slight laugh.

"Well Jake, seems that your heart rate got a lot higher. Guess that caffeine really affected you" he says his smiling face still inches from mine. Yeah the caffeine did that to me. I think, not saying it aloud.  Luckily, while he's recording data, the bell rings before I can't start to test him. Lunch. Thank Lord!! I almost run out with Juliet before Mrs. M yells "The project will continue on tomorrow, because I realize we didn't have alot of time today."

Well, yay for m, but that must suck for Jewels. Trust me, I know. Drake is a real asshole, we've gotten into fights with each other before and we never determined a winner, though he likes to think he wins. 

I stayed close to Juliet's side as we rushed out. My other classes flew by, but all I could think about was Demitri. During lunch, I sat at our signature table with Debs. Jewels came and showed everyone the note asking who could have wrote it my mind instantly thought of Luke.

"I think it's Luke" I say as I see him wave to Jewels. He isn't a bad looking guy and he's very cute but not my type and he's a good guy. I've talked to him like once, he's pretty cool.

I missed whatever else was said at luch after that because I had been staring at Demitri the entire time. When the bell rung I was pumped for free period, but also bummed. I had it with Demitri. 

I hurry into the Library after telling the girls goodbye, they both have history next. I check in at the front counter and say hello to our librarian. Then go into the shelves. I reach for my favorite book, MacBeth, when I feel a hand touch mine. None other than Demitri himself is standing next to me.

"My bad." I say, letting go of the book and turning around, I can feel myself blushing.

"Nah, it's cool." he puts his hand on my shoulder, "You got it first, here."

I turn around as he hands me the book.

"Thanks." I say. I look up to his eyes, stare for a sec. Then my eyes slowly wander lower, to the cute mole on his cheek, to his lips, his chest, his abs, his... woah. I snap back to earth, half-smile, and turn to walk away. But then he grabs my arm.

"Follow me a sec?" he says.

"Uh...sure" I reply. My mind rushing and wondering, I follow him through the school gardens, through the gym, and to an empty locker room. I look around at the blue and gray lockers.

"So..." I say. I look at Demitri, "What's up?" I ask He looks at me for a second, then sits on one of the benches. I sit on the same one, but about three feet away.

"Uh..." I'm staring again. Oh no. I turn my head and look at the mirror on the wall. I see myself, my black hair, my dark eyes, my pale skin. Then I see a figure move in the background. I turn back around. Demitri is less than three inches from my face. I stare at his eyes again, then at his lips, which move closer to mine, and he leans in, and we kiss. I close my eyes. 

Then things get a bit...intense. He puts his right hand on my left hip and grabs my right hand with his left. He pulls me closer, then puts my hand on his chest. he begins to unbutton my top, all while still kissing me. He takes off my shirt completely and prompts me to unbutton his. I do so. Now we're both shirtless, in the guys locker room, snogging. I bite his lip and then we begin to French. He pulls away a bit, then leans close and whispers, "You don't know how long I've been waiting for this." He begins to kiss my neck, then brings it back to full frontal. And then...the bell rings.

"Well," Demitri says, picking up his shirt, "I guess we can finish this later on, huh?"

"Yeah." I say, buttoning mine "I guess we can."

He winks as he walks out the door. I sit breathless, until I realize I still have MacBeth. Wow. I chuckle, then get up and walk to the library, bumping into Drake on my way out.

"Asshole." I mutter.

"Penguin." he says back.

What? But how did he...oh no.
