From all my years of sneaking in places, getting in has always been the easy part.

Now, leaving on the other hand?

Lord have mercy.

It's hell, to put it lightly.

The man dressed in bright green entered the room.

Great. How lovely.

He held a piece of rolled up paper in his hands.

"Uh king George is inviting you to dinner." He nervously smiled.

Y/n only nodded back.

The green guard examined her carefully.

"Are you gonna follow?" He asked.

She stood up, brushing her dress off and following.

The guard tried to talk to her, but y/n never responded back.

"Geez, are you gonna ever responded?" He joked.

Y/n internally smiled. She knew he was getting in his nerves without even trying.

"I only responded to important people."

The guard scoffed.

"I am important! I'm one of the Kings best guards!" He retorted.

Y/n laughed at his small outburst.

"Is that why he sent you to fetch me? Did he tell you it's because he trust you, or is that what you tell yourself." She smiled.

The guard stopped walking, his eyes had gotten big.

"How-"

Y/n laughed and kept walking ahead.

"H-hey wait!" He called.

Y/n didn't pay attention. She only smiled and kept walking.

Geez. Being a time traveler with great people skill was hard.

———

Y/n was seating right next to the king at dinner.

Not that she was complaining. He was pretty cute.

Just not her type.

He seemed like the type to keep her indoors and heavily guarded. Y/n hated staying indoors and she didn't need to be protected.

She could literally go back and time and stop anything from happening yet she often found herself in these situations.

She sighed. Maybe she just looked helpless?

Y/n looked down at herself again. She didn't seem to really look that helpless in her eyes but who knows.

Maybe he loves you?

Y/n almost spit her drink out just thinking about it.

The king seemed to notice.

"Y/n, my dear! Are you ok?" He reached out to hold her hand.

Y/n only nodded, pulling her hand back.

"I'm just fine, sir." She responded, trying to keep up a proper facade.

King George smiled at her, y/n shifted in her seat.

She needed an escape, fast.

Her eyes traveled across the room, until the met someone who looked slightly familiar.
