Castiel didn't know when he finally fell asleep. It must have been around 6am because before he knew it, it was 9am and he jolted awake, the affects of the alcohol and lack of sleep taking over him and giving him a pounding headache. He groaned and pinched the bridge of his nose as he sat up, crossing his legs and hunching over so his head hung tiredly. His head snapped back up however when he heard shuffling beside him and Dean Winchester awoke.
He could feel the blush forming again and turned away, looking up at the window, the sun shining in through the dark curtains.
"Mornin'" A gruff voice growled out and Cas slowly turned back around to Dean who was yawning and stretching laying down. He sat up slowly and turned his neck one way and the other to crack his neck before rolling his shoulders to stretch them.
"Good morning." Castiel replied meekly and scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. "Thanks for letting me... uh-"
"Oh yeah, no worries. Anytime."
"Anytime?"
"No, no i didn't mean anytime like-" Dean became flustered and Cas grinned broadly before giggling slightly.
"I was kidding, Dean." Castiel stops laughing but keeps the smile on his face, mostly to comfort Dean but mentally slapping himself. This is the type of things that get gay people beaten up, what was he playing at? To Castiel's surprise however, Dean grins back and lets out of soft snort before shaking his head.
"Right, course." There was a pause as Dean looked away, but made no move to get out of bed. "What time is it?"
"Around nine." Cas replied and Dean groans and lays back down.
"Nope!" He grunts, pulling the covers over his head. "Sundays are for lie-ins."
Cas stares at him and risks lying back down, sighing quietly.
"Yeah you're right, should we sleep for a bit longer?" Dean looks at him, peering over the blanket at Cas who was avoiding eye contact, just staring up at the ceiling.
"Um, yeah." Dean says. "Lets do that."

The next time they wake up, its three hours later. Dean is sprawled, his right leg over Castiel's, while Cas' arm is draped over Dean's abdomen lazily. Dean's own snore wakes him up first and he is suddenly aware of the touching. He grits his teeth, gently trying to remove his leg from Castiels, before looking down at the other boys arm that is draped across him. It felt... kinda nice actually. Truth was, Dean was kind of touch starved, so to have that skin to skin contact sent shivers down his spine. He was almost reluctant to move it.
He spent far too long wondering if he should that Castiel woke up slowly and when he realised where his arm was, quickly snatched it away, not being nearly as careful as Dean was when he moved his leg. Castiel quickly glanced at Dean, and when he saw that the older Winchester was awake he went bright red in the face. He shot up and quickly jumped off the mattress, stepping over to the other side of the room before facing Dean again, almost shrinking in size as he held himself small.
"Where you going?" Dean snorts and Castiel only manages to blushes more. "You okay?"
"I-i'm sorry-" Cas began but Dean stops him in his tracks by shaking his head and speaking over him.
"Dude, you were asleep. It's fine."
"W-wait really?" Cas says, looking down at Dean who had put his elbows behind him to prop himself up. "I just thought, well, you know, because-" Cas babbled.
"Would you calm down?" Dean snorted and shook his head again. "I said it's fine."
Castiel closed his mouth and nodded, still not making eye contact with Dean in anyway. Dean enjoyed that he finally got the boy flustered to words, as every other time that they had had an interaction, Cas had usually been smart and sarcastic with him.
