i didn't know he went to this school
but as i sat in my second semester class
there he was
black hair and hazel eyes that seem to change in the fluorescent light of this room
laughing about a stupid baseball joke
he's too plain for me to go crazy over but there is something about the way he laughs with his friends but looks at me
right at me
i'm not imagining it
when the teacher moved his seat next to mine
i thought two things
this is either fate or the universe's way of telling me it hates me
of course i had to drop my pencil
as he reached down to pick it up my heart sped up
so fast i felt like i was running a marathonwith the same look from the store he spoke and carefully rested my pencil on my desk
"this keeps happening around me"
i couldn't even respond
how could such basic words leave me frozen as if he said wedding vows
