The sun is rising with its luminous orange, yellow hues. Three weeks have passed. Erich wakes up early and does his daily morning routine. He looks over at is science project that was next to his backpack. Going downstairs he notices Jerome, who is making himself breakfast. He lets his cousin know that he is walking himself to school. Jerome nods and waves for him to go.

[Low Music Audio]

He pushes his phone and the music stops playing through his headset. He smells the air taking in natures musk. He looks over many trees, admiring the school from a distance. A hand of black, pulsing in all colors, gently cups his soldier. The boy looks over. He thinks to himself. Theories and ideas flood his mind. He closes his eyes. He slowly clinches his hands. He pulls them close to his chest.

[Calm Breath]

He exhales evenly while extending his arms to his sides. A black figure mimics his stance. They both look at each other. He questions the colorful shadow.

"Alright lets tryout some abilities, shall we?" says Erich

It looks forward and its legs charge with green electricity. The boy closes his eyes and discharges blue electricity. He puts earbuds in both ears. He plays a different song. A woman is waking up, a man honks his horn, chickens cluck. The sounds slow. The two puncture the air, rumbling their neighrhood.

[Sizzling Skin]

Jerome screams in pain.

"SON OF A BITCH. THAT MOTHERFUCKA HOT!!!"

The two are running all around the city. They jump from roof to roof. They maneuver around many buildings. A man lowers a ladder. The shadow maneuvers around it easily. Erich breaks focus. He quickly lands on a ledge and dives through. The reflection of the city zip to the past. They run into traffic. Everything slows down. Erich jumps through a bus window. A man moves much like a turtle. His expression looks confused. Erich grabs the pen and fills in the rest of the answers. He puts the pen back and breaks through the other side. From a birds eye view, he is shouting in excitement. Cars rock harshly side to side, as he zips by. He finally arrives to school, he tries to slow down but slides into a bush.

"Alright, note to self. Slowing down needs more practice"

No one notices him, except for one girl in the distance. Crawling out the bush, he walks to the front of the school. He walks inside along with the other students and waits in the cafeteria for his first class to start. The girl notices him again but looks confused. She attempts to approach him but stops short. The bell rang for the day to start. Walking in the same direction, Erich takes a turn and enters his classroom. She just watches him. She says nothing but is blushing and smiling. She continues to go to class carrying with her a paintbrush and a sketchbook. She takes a seat in her classroom and puts in one earphone. The teacher assigns the class art projects and she immediately begins drawing. Instead of drawing what was asked of the class, she draws the boy she admires.

"Azariah, you got a crush huh?" asks a student.

"No, its hard to explain, he is just not the same from before. He seems.... I don't know. I might be over thinking this, but I will figure it out." Rose says softly.

"Whatever girl, I know that look, you like him!" the student laughs.

Rose being slightly embarrassed goes back to drawing and listening to music. The class period ends and she walks to her locker. She looks at the drawing she drew and notices something odd. In the picture a representation of her crush, however, behind him a dark figure standing next to him. It almost seems the figure is looking at her. She turns over the drawing and is scared. She shuts her locker quickly and paces to her next class. As she looks up her eyes glow into a mint color green. Moments sink into her eyes, like a portal to another locker. A bronze skinned hand is placing a uniform, on the shelf, inside an elongated locker. Closing the locker, Erich is in the reflection. He walks off to go get a drink of water. He is pushed back into his locker. A colossal boy, six foot and ten inches, muscles that seem more alien than human, menacingly glares at him.
