The day is early. All roads are barely occupied by vehicles. Thick clouds surround the skies, pouring rain. Down a road lied a graveyard with thousands of tombs lined up. A large populated group of people are walking towards three specific tombs. All are wearing black dressy clothing.
"MY BABY!!!" shouts a woman.
Her husband holds her ever so gently to give her comfort. The woman runs out of his arms. She jogs through a hundred seats. She paces towards a tomb with Aarons name on it. She falls onto her hands and knees. Snot is dripping from her face, tears flow from her eyes, like a waterfall.
"Why god, why must you take my son away from me?"
She looks up and tries to reach for his name. Just inches away from reaching her son, she hammers her fist onto the soft grassy surface. A man approaches behind her. Bald and with a thick fluffy blond beard, he falls to his knees. He mourns at his loss.
"Why my son. Why must you be so reckless." he sobs.
He closes his hands into fists. Veins slowly form up his arm. His arms vibrating noticeably. He relaxes the tension and at a snails pace, puts his left hand over the tomb; with Ian's name on it. His crying got so bad that coughing hurt him. A lady, short and wide, walks up sobbing and wheezing. She falls to her knees in front of Jacobs grave. The three parents all simultaneously bow their heads to their children's grave. The large crowd gathers and takes a seat . A priest is standing over the three boys grave.
"I would like to ask everyone to bow your heads. I will be reading ISAIAH 57:1-2." says the priest.
Everyone bows their sad heads. Erich is in the far standing at the top of the cities tallest mountain. Because of his incredible sight, he looks at his friends graves and bows his head in respect.
"The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart; the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from Evil. Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death."
Erich also mouthing the quotes stands up. His jacket blows in the wind. Miguel looks up as everyone is still bowing their heads. He notices Erich in the distance. Miguel with tears falling from his face puts his fist to the skies. Erich mimics the same motion. The two then whisper,
"We will see them again."
Both turn their backs. Erich looks to the skies and Miguel looked at their graves. Erich jumps with all his might. A shockwave of air alters the rain direction slightly over the funeral.
"I understand my friend. I miss them too." says Miguel softly.
A massive rain cloud covers the city. A small hole puffs open and Erich at high speeds approaches space.
"What is going on through your mind?" says CG
"Because of my powers they are dead." he sobs.
"They are not dead because of you Erich. They made their decisions and created their own paths. Just like you did."
"I get it but if you really think about it CG they would still be here. None of this would have happened if I didn't allow you to access my DNA."
CG says nothing.
"I am sorry CG, I didn't mean to put it that way." he says softly.
"Noted Erich."
Erich is now in space looking at the sun. Expanding his arms outward, he breathes evenly. Looking at earth he realizes that more loss is to come. A sudden unfamiliar whisper brushes his right ear.
