Chapter 8

Akai POV:

I slipped on the ripped jeans over my fishnets and pulled over my strawberry milk croptop over my head and zipped up my mid calf shiney leather boots, {I have those boots and they are SO comfy}. "If we're going shopping today I might as well try and look decent today, but what if we get called for a job?" I sat and stared at myself in the mirror, "nah i'll be fine". I opened the door and walked out to see Hawks has left my room.

I grabbed a pink, grey and black vintage heavy jacket slipped that on and grabbed my wallet to find him. I walked out to see him in a V-neck and black ripped jeans with some 2 inch platform boots on. "Oh you're ready?" he looked up to see me as I smiled and nodded. "Great lets go! YOu look good by the way".

His compliment made my face heat up as i shyly smiled and followed him out of the penthouse. "Uhm, Hawks?" He looked over at me and hummed. "When are we doing patrolling? What if we're needed today?" He laughed and patted my head.

"You worry too much, don't worry we wont be needed today, and we start on monday which is tomorrow" I nodded my head as we flew off and to the city center we landed. I wobbled slightly as I caught myself with the help of Hawks.

I smilled up at him and thanked him. "No problem, lets go look over here first there were a few things i needed to get, also don't wander off i dont need you getting kidnapped" I frowned as he chuckled and pulled me along.

We went into various stores as he got some stuff he needed I was looking at a pair of heels that were red and wrapped around the top of the foot. I looked at how much they were, smiled and put them back. "Hey Akai see something you like we've been here for a while and you havent gotten anything!" I turned to Hawks.

"W-well i uhm, I havent really seen anything yet.." He shifted his head to look behined me and smilled.

He pointed at the shoes i was just looking at. "What about those? I saw you looking at them do you like them?" I became flustered and tried to say words as he just laughed. "if you like them get them whats stopping you?" I sighed.

"N-nothing is stopping me I just dont need them at the moment you know? Because i- im not really going anywhere that calls for i-" I was cut off by a group of girls and young women who surrounded him shocing me out of the way. I got glum glares from them as he became swarmed.

I shuffled away and went to look at dresses. I could hear the loud chatter of the girls as I was only a few yards away. "Was that your girlfriend?" "She doesn't seem your type though" "No that's the one that was on the UAtop three for the sports festival every year! That might be his side kick!" "Oh my god do you like her?" "Is she any good?" "how often do you have to save her?" "Not true she is super strong!" As the girls were bickering I just mozeyed on my way looking at the off white cottage styled dress that was fitting and flowforming with lace. I picked it up and looked at the pillar mirror and thought this would look cute with those red shoes but concidering the shoes and this dress all together would be almost 1k$.

"Pretty but not worth it" I frowned and put it back. As i turned around hawks grabbed my wrist catching me off guard and dragged me out of the store... "Uhm, H-Hawks is everything okay?" He was very glum so i would assume the young women at the store offended him somehow. "Hawks?" I asked again once we were out of the mall and preparing to fly back with the bags i was helping him carry.

He turned and stared at me, I gulpped and wanted to step away slightly. To which he only sighed, "Don't worry about it those girls just werent a fan of you some of them were, but the others were just being rude" I nodded, I knew people didn't like me 1. because i can be very unpredictable and dangerous, 2. im nothing like how they build an image of me of, and 3. im just unlikeable in general.

I smiled, "Dont worry about that it doesnt bother me", he smilled too and grabbed my hand. My face flushed as we flew back to his place.

Keigo (Hawk's) POV:

Those girls really did irritate me, not just because I really like Akai but also because she is so much more than what those people think of her. She just hasn't had a real chance to prove it yet. We got to my place and i softly took the bags from her, I secretly took pictures of all the thiings she picked up and showed interest in today so i'll remember what to get her for her birthday coming up soon.

"So Akai?" She turned to me as she helpped me unpack some things, "I know you arent a fan but, I need to atleast do something or else i would be a horrible person, and mentor" I smirked and leaned in as she blushed and leaned back.

Her voice is adorable, a strong and loving voice always stutering, "W-what? Huh?" I laughed as I pointed at her. "Your birthday is soon, I gotta atleast do something? Is there anything you want or wanna do? C'mon youcan spend a birthday with me, not just anyone gets to do that y'know" She softly snorted covering her face with her hands and busted out laughing.

It made my heart flutter, "the confidence you have in yourself is insane hawks" "keigo" "Right, Keigo, you are a very arrogant person you know that?" I smilled and puffed my chest, "I'm not the number 2 hero for nothing sweetheart so whats it gonna be?" She just shrugged and looked down a soft smile still on her face.

"I don't know i dont usually do anything, i never have and I never really have had a reason too." I remember erasurehead said something about that and I couldn't remember why, i'll have to look at her files back at the office. "But since youre an insistant person I guess I really like teramissu, so thats probably what i want a little teramissu cake but you dont need to get me anything. I usually just hang out by myself on my birthdays sometimes Aizawa would acompany me".

It's nothing that concerns me dont be nosey dont be nosey dont b- "So why would you spend it alone so much?" GOD DAMN YOU WHY? "Oh well, either everyone was too busy or just never got back with me, Aizawa was usually the only one who ever came to hang out with me, ever since Icould remember" huh? "what about your parents?" "Parents?"When she said that I flinched slightly and decided to drop the subject. my chest started to sting from the confused and sad expression she made at the mention of parents.

"Akai Im sorry if i-" She laughed, "Dont be sorry im not offended or anything, it's your right to know after all since it's probably all on my files anyways" I sighed as we continued putting tthings away. I got up and stretched. "Well, Akai i'll be back I have to stop by the agency for a little and get some things done, i'll bring home food so just text me what you want and when youre hungry and i'll come back, if not i'll be back before 9" She nodded as she made her way to the couch and sat down.

She turned on the TV "sounds good, be safe see you later" When she said that it made me feel like we were an item and she cared about me like that. I handed her one of my feathers. "Whats this for?" I smiled, "if youre in trouble when i'm gone breack that feather, i'll know right away. if you keep it on you i'll be able to find you" She sceptically glanced at me, "You will always be able too?" I smirked, "I always will!" She laughed and shook her head "Okay then, will do... see ya later keigo" I nodded and went out the door and flew off.

Hello everyone hope yall drinking water i know im not because i just woke up and drank my 5th cup of coffee this hour so yay. I'll up date a new part later today/tomorrow morning so keep an eye out for it. I will also be updating ushijima x reader today as that book will be done here pretty soon and as for the other my hero one, no idea what im going to do with that i'm probably just going to leave that there and update it for shits n giggles. Next chapter will be more exciting, may have some trigger warnings, may have some lemons limes and spicy times but idk well have to see. Have a great day wherever yall may be and see yall next time!
