The day came where we're going out on our hero recruitment and I was absolutely panicking. "Hey, Akai are you okay?" Momo asked as she placed a hand on my shoulder. I shook my head and started shaking.

"I'm the only one going to hawks agency this year, I'm nervous because I don't have anyone with me to make me feel less nervous," I said walking to the bus taking us to the train station. Momo laughed and sat us in a seat.

"You'll be quite fine Akai, you're the number 3 in the school now you're great at being tough" she laughed. Since I've been given the tittle as the 3rd big three at UA I've come to realize people make an image of you that's not you. Im not brave, im shy, insecure, and most importantly pessimistic. 

The rest of the ride was silent and soon we made our separate ways. I got on my train along with a few others going to that side of Japan as well. Luckily Endeavor's and Hawk's agency were close by at separate ends of the same city, so Shouto would be doing most of the traveling with me. So I decided to make small talk.

"Hey Shouto, how are you feeling?" I asked him as he looked up from his phone and scooted slightly closer to me.

"I'm feeling fine, but I can tell you're nervous because you can't stop fidgeting," he said gesturing at your hands. "I knew this would happen so I brought you this, it always calmed you down when you were stressed" he said and pulled out a bag of baked and salted pumpkin seeds. I gasped and snatched them from his hand and pummeled him in a hug.

"Thank you so much you know me so well!" I exclaimed letting go and eating the seeds. He blushed and smiled unknowingly.

"So Akai" Shoto started as you hummed looking over at him, a mouth full of pumpkin seeds.

"What's up hotfrost?" You said using the nickname that always made him smile. In turn it did again.

"About a few days ago.." he trailed on indicating the very heavy kiss you sprung on him Friday night.

"I-oh yea, I'm sorry Shouto, I didn't mean to ruin anything between us it's just Mina dared me too go to your party and kiss whoever opened the door first which happened to be you and I was so scared because if I didn't do it they would have given me and even worse dare and forced that on me so I had too I'm so sorry I-" I was cut off by Todoroki putting a hand on my shoulder.

"It's fine, I was just asking what really happened because you are too shy to do that without a motive" he sighed and started again, " but do you like me?" He asked as I choked on my food.

"I-I don't know I've never really ever thought about love. It's just not something that has ever clicked with me" I said as he nodded.

"Same here, if you did like me I wouldn't have minded giving us a try but it's best to sort ourselves out first. Friends?" Shouto said with a small caring smile on his face opening his arms as he got up with his luggage.

"Best friends" I said, giving him a hug to which he laughed as I poked him in the side. And just like that he was out of site. I started to prepare my things as I was the next stop.

Stepping off the train with my bag I felt something tickle the back of my neck. I turned around slightly startled but saw nothing. Huh weird. Okay let's find this agency. It took about 20 minutes to get there which would've taken shorter if you haven't been unknowingly attacked by something tickling the back of your neck. Looking up at the building made you more intimidated. "Oh boy here we go." You said hurriedly walking to the door.

Inside was nice as you made your way to the desk. The Lady looked up, "hello can I help you miss?" She said politely.

"Yes, I'm here for the hero internship from UA." I said nervously.

"Oh yes and what's your name so I can log you in?" she said turning to her computer.

"Riakai Akirastuka, 3rd year class 3-A" I said logging in my info.

"Oh your number is like 2.5 in the school right! Just behind Endeavor's son but just barely in front of the mark of that other boy?" She asked curiosity radiating off her.

"Haha yeah that's me" I said scratching the back of my neck as she guided me to the elevator and pushed the top floor button.

"Knock before you go in today but usually after the first day you can walk right in. You'll be lifted directly in front of his door. Good luck Riakai!" She said walking away as the door closed.

It was about a minute to the top and as the doors opened you took a deep breath. Coming up to his door you shyly knocked. "Come in!" Said a slightly raspy voice from the other side. I pushed the doors open and walked in. An ash blond man sat at the big desk near a giant wall of glass looking over the city. "There she is, the one I've been waiting for!" He said jumping out of his seat and walking over with that side smile he's known for doing. "Riakai Akiratsuka right? What's your preference?" He said looking down at me. "My god you're even pocket size!" Hawks stood at 5'10, (he's actually 5'4 but for the story we make him taller) I'm used to the height difference as I'm short as fuck.

"Seriously? Either way I preffer Akai" I said, leaning on my right leg, crossing my arms. He chuckled and pulled me in for a side hug

"No need to be so sassy, now come on let's get to my place and get you situated in your room!" He said grabbing my hand as I blushed. He turned around to look at me "by the way hope you liked being accompanied by my feather on your way here. Learned a very valuable thing" he smirked as my jaw dropped.

"THAT WAS YOUR FEATHER YOU BIRD FOR BRAINS!? WHY WOULD YOU TICKLE ME!" I shouted as he strung me along into the elevator. Laughing as I made my way down. I tried not to look irritated in public so as soon as he RUDELY swept me off my feet and into the sky. "Hey my stuff!" I shouted.

"Don't worry my feathers got it! Relax you're so fussy" he joked and you huffed.
