As Carmela went home from her work as a medical technologist, she let out a deep breath when she saw her mother cooking dinner. The aroma of the food made her tummy hungry so she went to her mother's side and taste the food.
"Hmm mom, it tastes so good!" She said as she keeps on tasting their meal which is Adobo.
Her mother winked at her. "Of course, this is our family's favorite. I would love to cook it every single day." Then she laughed. "I remember when your father tasted it for the first time. He was happy and he giggled like a kid." Her mother said as she reminisces the time that they spent together. It's been a year since their father left them because of his chronic illness.
She felt a pang of pain. She knows how they missed their man in the house, but she needs to be strong and keep the ambiance lighter. "I know, mom. Don't worry, I will eat a lot of Adobo tonight." They laughed.
After they ate their dinner, she hurriedly went up to her room. She straightly went to her bathroom to freshen up. It was indeed a very tiring day because of her work, but she loves doing it so, no regrets.
As she was fixing her bed tonight, someone knocked on her door. Of course, she knew who is the person behind it. It was her mom.
"Honey, are you about to sleep?" Well, it is not new to her because she does that every time before she goes to bed. "Not yet, mom." She replied as she finished fixing her bed. Her mom asked her if she could come inside, so she told her, "Sure, mom."
Her mother went to her side with excitement. After seeing her, she knew what her mother will be going to say to her. She is used to it. "Mom, I know that look." She said as her reaction went awkward. "I just want to talk to you for a little moment, can I?" Her mother smirked.
Oh, here we go again. "Mom, I know what you are thinking. If this is about the guy you wanted me to date with, I refused." Actually, her mom wanted her to date her best friend's son because she wanted her to be in a relationship. She hasn't really tried to fall in love because she believes that destiny will lead the way when the right time comes, but her mother is stubborn so she can't say no even she wants to. Funny, her mother is more worried than her for not being into a relationship yet.
"My best friend will come here tomorrow with her son for the first time. Maybe they will have their dinner here. This will be your first time meeting them, but I am sure you will love them."
Carmela was actually happy, single, and free. It is just her mom who wanted her to be in a relationship. A lot of people saying that she is an ideal girl anybody could ask for. With her shiny black hair, captivating big black eyes, pinkish lips, and fashion style, people can be mesmerized by her.
"Okay, fine. As if I still have a choice?" She sarcastically said to her. Her mom's eyes sparkled before she softly sighed and kiss her goodnight. "I really need to sleep. Tomorrow is a big and tiring day to me."
As soon as she lay in her bed, she just felt something strange and unusual. It feels weird but she shrugged it off and thought that she was just tired. Then, she closed her eyes to rest, but the moment gets weirder and weirder. As she opens her eyes, she was shocked because she was not in her bed anymore. 'Wait, what?'
She roamed around the place. It was breathtaking. As soon as she realized where she is, she could not help but get awed. The wonderful surroundings made her calm a little bit and the sound of waves feels like music. A few moments later, she saw a guy walking towards her. With his messy black hair and attractive pinkish lips, she could not help but gasp and be mesmerized by his beauty. She does not know who he is because she could not recognize him well, but his presence feels amazing.
