Chapter 1 New partner

Hi, my name is Shoto Todoroki I work for the CIA in Japan and this is a story of betrayal, adventure, and love in an unlikely way.

"WHAT?!" I shouted with fury in my eyes, I was staring at my boss, fists clenched on my knees "I don't want a partner, especially a recruit!" I exclaimed. My boss just looked at me with a disappointed expression" I know you don't want a partner" they said " But I have a feeling that this will be good" My boss sighed "Look this guy is incredibly smart and you also have no say in the matter but everything would be much easier if you tried to get along." . "Fine" I spat out " But I don't promise anything" I then got up off the comfy office chair "Oh one more thing he is starting today in the afternoon, he is an incredible hacker and will be at your desk. I turned around and left a very annoyed look on my face thinking ' why would I need a partner? they will only slow me down ' I got to my computer and finished my case report until lunch. While writing I had completely forgotten about my new partner but once I got to the lunchroom I remembered.

For lunch, I bought a cold soba and sat at my usual table by myself as always. I had only been there for at most five minutes when my lunch was interrupted by Momo Yaoyorozu. She walked up to my table and started talking with me but she was talking at me. When she talks with me she always acts incredibly flirty puffing out her chest and trying to get close to me, I hate what she does so I always say there is somewhere I need to be or make up some other excuse like that. I always suspected it was because I am the number one agent in the CIA Japan unit rather than for my personality since she only started coming over to my table since I became number one. Also, I have a giant burn scar over my right eye but that is not relevant at the moment. I said" Sorry Yaoyorozu but the boss gave me a partner so I have to meet them." I didn't even wait for her response, I immediately got up and walked out of the lunchroom.

My desk is on the third floor and the lunchroom is on the first floor along with security, the servers, and a super-sized garage. The second floor has an armoury, new agent's desks, a virtual mission simulator room (V.M.S), and a coffee machine. The third floor has the most experienced agent's desks, along with the boss's office and the mission archives that hold the files of every single mission that was ever sent out by the CIA.

I got in the elevator and hit the second-floor button the doors opened and I stepped out then went to get coffee since there is only one coffee machine in the whole of the offices that dose does not make any sense and I don't know why they don't order another one since they have the money any way back to what I was doing. The best time to get a refill is when everyone is at lunch because normally there is a giant cue but if I go when everyone else is at lunch then the cue is no more.

Once I successfully got my coffee I went into the elevator again and pressed the third-floor button one the elevator started to move up I

straightened my suit because I wanted to look at least presentable for my new partner. I ran my fingers through my two-toned hair and exhaled as the elevator dinged and the two shiny metal doors opened to reveal a boy at my bent-over typing something on my computer, I walked behind him and cleared my throat the young man in front of me jumped two feet in the air and span round to face me faster than I thought possible. He was about half a head shorter than me and he wore a green suit jacket and black trousers. They didn't match very well but at least he made an effort. I looked him right in his emerald eyes and said...
