Spring of 2003,

Math class has been pretty easy these days. I'm just kidding you, it's totally the opposite; but it's for a reason. The boy that sits in front of me, he's quite strange, huh? He has shiny black hair, and he smiles so brightly, showing off his teeth. The corners of his lips pulled up, and his bread cheeks gleaming a rosy red. He was the teacher's favorite, so I was quite envious of him... I think his name is..

Yeah, I don't know his name.

I roughly drag my eraser over the words that were just written down on the whole back of my test. I didn't want my teacher see what I wrote, no. My eyes gently dart up to the boy that sits in front of me, watching his hand hold the pencil that wrote answers on his test. I watched in amazement once he switched the pencil to his other hand. He uses both hands to write! Huh.. not like I'm impressed or something, he's for sure just a loser. A happy one.

I should ask him to be my friend. He reminds me of the sun when he smiles.

It's another spring, and I'm still here, just much older. Such nostalgia.. I always think of memories when I'm bored. My eyes slowly glance up to the boy that sat in front of me, surprisingly, he was already looking back at me over his shoulder. My cheeks grow warm as I stared at the lovely grin he wore on his lips, just a small one. He's adorable like this, but...
I'm hungry.

I pout and lay my chin down on my palm as I gaze at my best friend, parting my lips to mouth something to him,
"I'm hungry,"

He turns his whole back to look at me, a wide smile on his face as one of his hands were held up next to his mouth as he was preparing to mouth something back. I admire his giddy expression, his grayish-brown locks of hair, dark brows, his clear skin, and those bread cheeks that complimented his smile. How much he made me feel warm, its just so weird- he just reminds me of the sunshine on summer. The teacher had slammed down a ruler against her desk before I could figure out what he had mouthed to me. Or did he say anything at all?

Then, the bell rung.
I spring up and dash out of class before he does. For some reason, I was humiliated... I don't know why, but whatever. I just want some food. I broaden my eyes as a strong arm fell limp around my shoulders, I peer up to Taehyung that was thinking of what to say, then gluing my eyes down to the ground, keeping my vision there as my face fully heated up as he shook my closer into his chest while he playfully giggled, I always get shy like this, nothing important.
"You said you were hungry?" He began, his hand digging into his bookbag, "I brought something special for you."

I swear he could see my eyes shine as I stared at the familiar bag of food that dangled from his fingertips. Holy shit.. They were my favorite-
"Dumplings!!" I shout with a large smile I couldn't fight back, stealing the bag and grabbing his hand to lead him to the cafeteria. My small hand could barely fit in his large hands, ironic.

I eat without shame, glaring at anyone that dared to set their confused or disgusted eyes on me. I wasn't very popular in this school, unlike Taehyung. But I didn't care, I didn't care about friends- even if I have enough anyway. And plus, I have perfect grades! I look up at Tae that gobbled up a rice cake, waving to girls that bat their eyelashes to them. Ugh, pick-me girls. But who am I to speak? I'm the one that keeps him away from them. Those girls are known to break hearts, no matter how pretty they are.. And Taehyung's heart was just too pure and big to be split into half.
Well, he isn't that pure. Sometimes.

"Augh, Jiminie. You don't understand how uncomfortable the employee's at that place got me when I was- tch.." Tae swallows his food, "..buying you food. It seems like lots of Americans are moving in here, they barely understood me, I barely understood them- Hey." Tae waves to a girl that scuffled his hair, and without a reaction, he fixed his hair.
"Ah, really..?" I reply, smiling as he rolled his eyes.

"Yes! Aren't you listening?" Tae grumbles, glaring to me playfully while I dabbed a small napkin across my plump lips.
"I'm surprised I am! Almost like... Thirteen girls walked by you." I threw my head back as I giggled, flinching as he pretended to punch me across my face.

"Shut your mouth.. And eat the rest of your food, I had to speak English for that."
