A/N: No, Peter and Amaryllis are not dating, they just call each other pet names because it's a habit of Amaryllis's and Peter picked it up.
Peter, Natasha, Loki, and Thor were in the living room doing their own thing when, from across the room, Peter's phone rang. The doe eyed boy jumped up and answered the phone, a grin on his face as he read the contact name; Sweetheart.
"Hey, what's up!"
"Do you have a nice, formal suit?" a very excited voice asked.
"Yeah..." Peter trailed off, trying to understand what Amaryllis's words meant. "Why?"
"Because we're going traditional this month."
"What do you mean?"
"I found a venue that's hosting a youth ball. Darling, we're going ballroom dancing!" Amaryllis cheered and Peter gaped.
"Really? Like full traditional, full out?" Peter knew he was confusing his uncle and aunts, but at the moment, he didn't care all that much. He was too excited about how he and Amaryllis were going ballroom dancing that month.
"Yeah! Pretty outfits that you can't pee in, cute but uncomfortable shoes, a million pins in your head, and a bunch of gorgeous makeup. I'm talking the whole thing."
Peter was bouncing on the balls of his feet as he listened to his friend's words. "I can't believe it! Holy crap! This is awesome!"
"I know right! Go get ready, and leave your hair alone, I'll help you fix it a bit in the car. I'll be there in 30 minutes."
"Wait, are you already ready?" Peter heard Amaryllis hum her confirmation. "That's not fair! It takes more than 30 minutes to shower and get ready! I bet it took you hours."
"Three. Now go get ready. You have 29 minutes."
He looked down and hung up the phone before dashing off to his room. The three stared at each other blankly once Peter left.
"What just happened?" Thor asked, his head tilted like a puppy's.
"I have no idea," Natasha replied, shaking her head.
"I believe that Peter has plans that he has not told us about," Loki said, pulling out her book once more. "Big plans, judging by the excitement on his face and how fast he ran to get ready."
"I wonder what his plans are," Thor mused as he resumed the movie.
Peter quickly showered and got dressed in a simple black suit with a dark purple tie to match the color of Amaryllis's dress that she had sent him pictures of. As per his friend's request, he didn't do anything with his hair, just dried it and combed through it. He grabbed his phone, his wallet, a pen, and a notecard before he threw on some dress shoes. His phone dinged and he saw that Amaryllis had texted him that she and her dad were waiting outside.
Peter put his stuff in his pockets before running to the elevator. He passed Bruce, Steve, and Bucky on his way and each of them gave him weird looks for running through the tower in a suit, but he ignored them. He reached the elevator, but before he could get in, his dad stopped him.
"Pete? Where are you going in a suit?" Tony Stark asked as he set his drink down and walked over to the boy. "And when did you learn how to tie a tie?"
"My friend taught me because I needed to know how for a school event. Um, Dad, I've gotta go. My friend's waiting for me outside and if I'm late there is no guarantee that there will still be a Spiderman in town." Peter gestured vaguely in the direction of the elevator and grinned sheepishly. "I'd explain more, but I really am running late. I'll explain more tomorrow and I'll show you pictures and videos and stuff."
