We walked closely through the dark corridors for what felt like ten minutes until I heard some cracking noise and out of instinct, grabbed Cedric's hand. He looked down at me and a small smirk grew on his face.

We walked for another half hour, hands clasped together until I heard footsteps coming from down the hall. I quickly looked around the dim hallway and saw a door, without hesitation, I pushed Cedric towards it. Thankfully the door was unlocked and when we were crammed inside it, I closed the door behind me silently.

For a few seconds, I held my hand over my mouth to silence my loud breathing. After the footsteps receded I looked up at Cedric.

He was extremely close and our bodies were pushed up against each other due to the small box we were now hidden in. This closet was big enough for a few brooms to stand in, and we had crammed two people into it.

"I think they're gone," I whispered in case someone happened to still be out there.

"I guess we hide here then." He looked down at his watch and I saw that it was a few minutes past midnight.

I nodded in agreement and looked back up at him. I could barely see his face in the dim light, but with our bodies pressing against each other, I still knew he was there. I could just make out his eyes and his lips with the cracks in the door where the flicker of the hallway lamps creeped in.

I could tell he was looking down at me too. Butterflies rose in my stomach as we both just stared at each other.

We stood there, with nowhere else to look for a few seconds until I whispered through the silence.

"What are you doing?"

"Nothing?" He whispered in response, completely confused.

"Part of you is doing something." Something was definitely happening...down there.

He glanced down and then looked up at the wall. "Oh uh...sorry." He slightly laughed, embarrassed.

I was holding back a smile until the pressure of our bodies and...whatever he was doing made me whisper, "Stop!"

"I kind of don't have control over that..." He muttered while still looking at the wall, refusing to meet my eyes.

"Okay uh, let me turn around." I hoped that would help but after standing there for another few seconds he whispered into my ear.

"Adeline."

"What?" I turned my head slightly to look at him.

"That's worse." His voice cracked with the awkward tension in the closet.

I threw my hand over my mouth to muffle a laugh while shuffling to turn back around again.

There was a small smile even on his own mouth, and then I lost myself in his grey eyes. My eyes flicked down to his lips where my gaze lingered for a second too long. When I looked back at his eyes, I saw his flick down to my lips too. Once his eyes were back on mine, he slowly started to lean down, and I lifted my head to meet his.

Our lips were just about to connect when the door flew open.

"Bloody hell!" I turned around quickly to see Ron standing there with shock on his face and Ginny holding her hand over her mouth to muffle her laughter.

I pushed my lips together to stop my own want to laugh at Ron's jaw that hung like it was on the floor.

"Back to the common room lovebirds. You were the last to find," Ginny spoke up while Cedric followed me out of the closet and closed the door behind him.
