Kiara was pacing in their bedroom at home. Aditya was not home and she  had felt tensed when she returned from the spa day. Nyra had gone off to study for an exam  with some friends. She could not exactly relate to her mother-in-law. Sumitra was not sure to be happy for her son or upset that her daughter-in-law had returned.

When it neared 8:30, she decided to grab a snack and some herbal tea from the kitchen. Maria the housekeeper had updated the supply of herbal teas when she returned just days prior. She had greeted her that second day in the morning and asked her what her preferences were and had anything changed.

"Maria, I have been gone awhile, I appreciate that you recalled my tastes," Kiara stated.

The older woman smiled back at her.

"Why wouldn't I? You always treated everyone with respect. Sometimes those born in these wealthy families forget their manners. However, you and Nyra are well behaved girls. Adi sir chose well for himself. I hope your mother-in-law sees that soon enough. I am happy you are safe," she stated before turning her attention to her tasks at hand.

Kiara settled on making a grilled veggie sandwich and made herself a cup of green tea. She probably should detox before heading on their vacation the following day.

She noticed no one else was really around. So she made herself comfortable at the breakfast nook that included a nice view in the early mornings and late evenings. She had never noticed anyone here enjoying the sunrise or sundown.

Aditya finished up his remaining work. He advised everyone that they should look into the connection of his attempted murder and Kiara's disappearance. Jimmy and Dino would work on tracing her steps and retrieve the footage from the airport that fateful day.

He had to know who was in his house. Was it some stranger or was it his Kiara?

He arrived home to see her lost in thought. She always had his attention since the first time they met. His Kiara had an aura not everyone could accept, but those who did, immediately became her friend or in better words her fan.

There was so many questions weighing on his mind. If he took her away as planned he could find out the truth. He was sure of it. However, he had this small lingering fear that this woman may not be Kiara. He could not start over with her look alike. It would be her or no one else. May in due time he could have gotten himself to move on and maybe comprise with someone else. But never her twin or lookalike. That was not possible for him at all. She was and would always be his one true love.

She must have finally felt his eyes on her and she looked to meet his eyes.

"Aditya? Tum kab aaye?"

She put down her mug and walked to him.

"Baas abhi aaya. Tum kaisi ho? How was your spa day?"

She stopped short not sure how she should greet him.

"Honestly, I was paranoid because of the scars. But they all treated me well and it helped that Nyra kept telling me that the scars were a reminder that I am a fighter, along with being alive," she stammered.

His worries subsided for a moment.

She had to be his Kiara. She may have forgotten everything but her pure personality was still here.

He cupped her chin and made her look at him.

"Nyra is right. You were fighting to come back to me. No matter what happened to you and whoever was trying to keep you away from me, they did not win," he declared.

She tried not to cry but when she felt his arms around her, she felt like the bridge finally break. He soothed her by caressing her back.

Some feet away, Rajesh looked solemnly at them. He turned back to his quarters. He would fetch his coffee a bit later. They needed their time together.

Sumitra came a moment later, glaring at the retreating figure of her husband. She wanted to interrupt them just to be spiteful, but then she felt a pang of guilt. After all, this was her son and she could not change who he loved. She shook her head.

"Let them be for now," she muttered to herself and she headed back to her room.

Kiara wiped her tears and stepped back, he pulled her back to bump her back against his front.

"I am here for you jaan," he assured her.

She merely nodded.

"Let me clean up my mess. I will meet you in the room. Why don't you go freshen up? Should I make you something to eat?"

He shook his head.

"I am ok. I will see you in the room," he said softly.

She felt his gaze linger on her as he walked away.
