Its was evening time all the classes were over and kartik went outside with his friends to the lawn area.....
He was talking with them and suddenly his eyes fell on naira who was finding something in the grasses, bushes and where not.... he looked at her carefully and found that she was crying very badly but silently.... as he was not much far he was able to hear her sobbing...
Then after some time kartik came back after having some snacks but this time he was alone..... he looked at the lawn.... naira was still there he decided to go and ask her..... but then aditi came near her so he stopped..... she jold naira and started walking...
She wasn't even able to walk properly, she was weak as she was crying continuously..... he followed them... they stopped in the corridor, aditi made naira sit on the bench
A: yarr bas kr ab kitna roegi?
N: nahi aditi.... mujhe vo locket chahiye....vo mere liye bohot important hai
Kartik was listening everything from behind the pillar... he was shocked to listen that she is sad for just a locket
A: mujhe pta h... vo tere liye kitna important h par tu luch break se usse dhudh rahi h.... abhi tak kuch khaya bhi nahi h.... mujhe pta lunch bhi nahi kiya hoga thik se...
N: mujhe apni chinta nahi h..... mujhe vo locket dhudhna h vo meri mumma ki aakhri nishani thi.... aur maine use bhi kho diya....
A: dekh thoda practically soch agar milna hota toh mil jata mujhe nahi lagta ki ab milega.... chal yaha se hostel chalte h
N: nahi tu jaa mai nahi jaungi.....(she started crying and coughing)
A: tu yahi ruk mai tere liye pani le kar aati hu...
Naira nodded
Aditi went from there.... after listening all this kartik was totally blank and was feeling very guilty..... he came out naira was standing there back facing him....
He went near her...... she turned feeling someone's presence and bumped into him as he was too close.... but before she could fall he hold her... his one hand was on her waist and other on her back and she caught his collar tightly....
She opened her eyes and saw him holding her.... she immediately stood up and pushed him away.....kartik was startled by the sudden reaction....he looked at her confused....
N: duur raho mujhse..... koshish bhi mat karna mere pass aane ki....
He can see fear, pain and anger in her red puffy eyes....
K: mai tho bass..tumse sor..
N: maine kaha jao yaha se(shouted)
She started feeling dizzy, her head was spinning...he hold her but she pushed him again.....
N: don't you dare touch me....
But he held her tightly and make her sit in the nearby bench and loosen his grip
K: ok I'll not touch you... just listen to me.... don't move so much... you are weak right now...
Then aditi came running taking water and lome snacks for Naira....
A: le naira jaldi se ye pani pee le aur phir ye thoda kuch kha lena(forwarding the water bottel)
N: pehle isse bol ki ye yaha se chala jae aur mujhe aur pareshan na kare.....
Aditi look towards Kartik..... he gets up and leave from there.... after some time both of them went to their hostel.....that night naira didn't sleep at all and also cried several time.....
Next day:
It was sunday, 10:15 in the morning..... aditi was out of the hostel for some work.... naira was alone in her room when she heard a knock on the door.... she got up from the bed.... her head felt heavy due to constant crying.....
As she opened the door she saw kartik standing there with his hands at back.....as soon as she saw him she closed the door again.... he again knocked....
K: Naira please gate kholdo...
N: tumhe ek baar me samajh nahi aata..... durr raho mujhse
K: naira please ek baar meri baat sunn lo fir agar tum bologi toh mai kabhi tumhare samne nahi aaunga...
Naira opens the door.....
N: jaldi bolo kya bolna h
Kartik took out his hands from back and forwarded a beautiful bouquet of white lilly....
K: sorry naira kal maime jo kuch bhi kiya vo gusse me kiya.... maine bilkul bhi realise nahi kiya ki tumhe kitna bura lagega.... mujhe nahi pta tha ki vo locket tumhre liye itna special h..... I am really very sorry naira, agar ho sake to mujhe maaf kar dena...... aur ha yeh....(taking out something from his pocket)
K: aapna haath aage karo naira....
Naira looked at him giving him a look "what do you mean"
K: aree aisa vaisa kuch mahi h jo tum soch rahi ho..... do na
Naira forwarded her palm towards him...... and he put her locket on her palm..... naira was shocked and overwhelmed to see the locket... a smile crept on her face..... she immediately put the locket back to its original place.....
Seeing her kartik just smiles at her once and says goodbye and starts to leave but to his shock he was stopped by naira's voice.....
