"Dammit, Sammy! Just take one break!" Dean whined, "all you do is study and study all day."
"And that is your concern...why?" Sam replied with his face still buried in his book.
Dean groaned and grabbed Sam's shirt by the collar, trying to pull him out of the chair.
"Come on!" He yelled, "just go on a walk or get a coffee for once!"
"Will you stop if I do?" The taller brother asked, finally looking up at his older brother.
"Oh my Chuck, YES. Now get in the car!" Dean groaned, dragging Sam out of the dorm room. Sam had spent every day studying in his room getting ready to pass law school. Many girls had tried to ask him out the rare times he was out of his dorm room, but he declined them all si that he wouldn't have any distractions from his goal. None of them sparked anything inside him, even the lucky ones who got to date him for a few months. Was he wanting a relationship? No. Will he ever want a relationship? Probably. Just not right now.
Dean pulled up to a sweet little coffee shop that was a few miles away from the campus. They got out of the car and Sam was about to bring his laptop when Dean took it from him.
"No, Sammy. You're going to sit down, relax, and talk to me instead of working on your...whatever." Dean said, throwing the laptop in the back seat.
"Dean come on! I've got a paper due next Friday, I'm six days late!" Sam argued.
"You're a workaholic, Sam. The least you can do is get a coffee with me." Dean nearly pleaded when Sam refused to follow him. "Please Sammy."
Sam moaned dramatically and hastily followed Dean inside the coffee shop. They found a table and Dean went up to order them two coffees and a slice of pecan pie. Sam sighed when they sat down awkwardly, waiting for their order. Dean started talking but all Sam could think about was his work. Suddenly, his attention shifted when he noticed a young man walking out of the employees room, tying an apron around his waist.
Dean turned in his chair when he realized Sam wasn't paying attention to him. "You checking him out or something?" He smirked
Sam flushed red. "No! I...he..he looks like a kid from my campus! I just recognized him!" Sam blurted out. That was a lie, Sam had never seen him in his entire life.
"Huh," Dean replied, "alright then."
Soon enough, the same boy Sam had looked at was walking toward their table with a notepad in hand. Sam avoided eye contact with him, running a hand through his unkempt hair. The boy had golden hair that went down to his shoulders, and bright eyes that looked like sunlight shining through a glass of whiskey. His skin was tan and his teeth were a bright white, although it was hard to tell because there was a bright red sucker hanging out the edge of his mouth.
"Good morning you two..." he started, pausing his sentence when looking at Sam. A smirk formed on his lips and Sam could feel himself blushing.
And Dean noticed.
"Here is your dark black coffees and slice of pecan pie, can I help you with anything else today?"
Sam was about to say no and thank you when Dean interrupted.
"Uh yes, actually you can help us with something," he smirked. "Is there any possible way that my brother here could get your phone number?"
Sam slapped Dean on the shoulder from across the table. "No, no, I dont need anyone's number thank you very much. So sorry uh...Donald?"
The boy looked down at his nametag and laughed. "It's actually Gabriel, I'm borrowing a nametag today. Have a great day you two."
Gabriel winked at Sam which made his heart flutter, until rage took over his body remembering what Dean did.
"Stop, Dean! I dont need you to do that for me! I could have asked him myself!" Sam whined, covering his face partially.
"So you do want his number?" Dean asked
"Ugh! You're so freaking annoying, Dean!" Sam snapped, "thanks for the coffee, I'm going back to my dorm."
Dean sighed and waved goodbye to his brother. "I'll see you next week, Sam!"

Sam continued to go to the same coffee shop every week to see Gabriel. At first the waiter was confused why Sam out of nowhere started to come more often, until the much taller man started to flirt with him. To Gabriel he wasn't a good flirt, at least up to his stature, but he thought it was adorable how Sam was trying."Hey, Gabe," Sam smiled when walking into the cafe.
"The usual, Sammy?" Gabriel questioned.
"You know it," Sam chuckled.
Gabriel smirked and started getting Sam's drink ready. In the mean time, Sam was staring at his hands and mumbling to himself as though he was trying to think of something to say.
"Hey, uh, Gabe," he stared. Gabriel turned around with his eyebrow raised as the coffee brewed. "If you ever get tired...I...uh."
Sam got nervous again and Gabriel was laughing on the inside.
"I can...invite you to my dorm room and we could...hang?" Sam said, testing his choice of words. "Wait, that was a bad way of saying what I'm trying to say! What I'm trying to ask is...will you ever uh...eat this week? Like uh...with someone?"
Gabriel wanted to burst out laughing, oh Chuck, Sam is horrible at this!
Gabriel walked over to the counter Sam was leaning over and stared into Sam's eyes.
"How about I give you my number, and you take me to dinner this Friday after my shift?"
Sam went a bright red.
"How does that sound?" Gabriel finished.
Sam nodded and Gabriel smirked once more, jotting his number down on the coffee cup he was giving to Sam.
"See you this Friday, Sammy~" he teased, getting on his toes and kissing Sam quickly on the cheek. The taller man felt like his head was going to explode. He nodded in reply and hurried out of the coffee shop to arrive to class on time.
