Bakugo was the first to wake up the next morning. Kirishima was snuggled against Bakugo's chest, holding a fistful of the alpha's shirt in his hand. He looked peaceful, Bakugo didn't want to wake him up.

Thankfully they had no school so he was able to let the omega get some much-needed sleep. It was easy to see that Kirishima hadn't gotten much rest over the week. If Bakugo were to guess it was because he stopped feeling safe, it was hard to fall asleep when you didn't feel safe.

Bakugo moved his face into Kirishima's hair, closing his eyes again as he took in a deep breath. Kirishima shifted a little.

"You awake Eijiro?" Bakugo whispered into Kirishima's hair. Kirishima just hummed as he snuggled his face a little deeper in Bakugo's neck a soft purring coming from the omega. The alpha chuckled softly and held him a little closer. Purring was a good sign, he was feeling better than the day before. "Do you want me to make breakfast?" Bakugo asked quietly into Kirishima's hair.

Kirishima pulled Bakugo closer and shook his head. "Stay a little longer," he muttered sleepily.

Bakugo wasn't opposed to this and snuggled his face into Kirishima's hair again. "Ok," he whispered.

He wasn't quite sure how long he waited but the alpha was getting hungry and he needed to pee so carefully he pried himself off of Kirishima and hopped over the back of the couch so he didn't have to go over the omega who had fallen back asleep, a very faint purr still coming from him.

Bakugo got a good look at Kirishima's face, he looked peaceful, definitely less pale than the day before and the circles under his eyes were less noticeable. Bakugo let a small smile fall on his lips before going to the washroom and the the kitchen to make breakfast. Remembering how much his boyfriend loved his pancakes the last time he made them, Bakugo started to make the batter.

It was his recipe that he had tweaked because he always found the online versions unreliable.

As he put three pancakes on a plate and in the warming drawer he heard the purring get replaced by small whimpers coming from the couch where Kirishima still slept. The omega was curled up in a tight ball, a few tears slipping out in his sleep, and his eyes were squeezed shut. Bakugo went around to the front of the couch, crouching in front of the omega and softly rested a hand on his cheek. "Eij, Eijiro, it's just a dream, it's ok," Bakugo said as soft as he could.

Kirishima's eyes shot open and he bolted up on the couch, his breathing heavy and eyes wide trying to remember where he was.

"Wow Eijiro, calm down, it's ok," Bakugo said sitting in front of his boyfriend. Kirishima swallowed hard and looked Bakugo in the eyes before letting them fall to his lap. He collapsed back on the couch and rubbed his eyes.

"I'm sorry, you don't need to worry, it was just a dream," Kirishima muttered.

Bakugo's brows creased. "Don't be sorry, you don't need to be sorry," he said.

"But I worried you, I don't want to worry you," Kirishima muttered, peeking out from his hands a little when he felt Bakugo rest a hand on his knee.

He didn't say anything but the gesture was enough to make Kirishima feel a little better. "You've been through a lot. Don't be sorry for it."

He gave a small nod.

"I mean it shitty hair, you shouldn't be sorry for having nightmares or-"

"I'm not sorry for the nightmares I'm sorry for being so weak like this," Kirishima muttered not looking at Bakugo. "I want to be strong and I want to be able to take care of myself but here I am, kicked out of my dad's house and crying on my boyfriend's couch." He sat up and pulled his knees into his chest, hugging them tightly.

Bakugo was quiet for a moment before getting up. "Come on," he said pulling Kirishima by his hand. He went to turn off the stove before going to the front door.

"W-wait where are we going?" The omega asked as Bakugo pulled him to the door.

"We're going to you're dad's house," Bakugo said tossing Kirishima his shoes and putting his own on.

A flash of fear crossed Kirishima's face. "Why w-we don't need to go there, he kicked me out."

"Exactly," Bakugo grumbled grabbing the house keys and pulling his boyfriend out of the house. "He kicked you out with nothing, we're going to get your stuff."

"Kat I don't think he wants me back there, I-I can't-"

Bakugo stopped walking abruptly and turned to Kirishima, standing toe to toe with the omega. "Ok, look, this is me trying to help, ok? This is me trying to be a good boyfriend to you when I know I don't deserve you. I'm not good with that emotional shit but that asshat kicked you out with nothing so we're going to get at least some of it back, ok? Let me do this for you."

Kirishima studied him for a moment. The alpha looked determined and mad. "Ok," he said quietly. He wasn't 100% sure how Bakugo got to this conclusion in his brain, one second Kirishima was saying he was too weak and the next Bakugo was pulling him out the door trying to help get his stuff back.

"Thank you," Bakugo said starting to walk again. They were lucky they fell asleep in their clothes from the day before or they would probably be walking around in their PJ's.

Kirishima could feel his anxiety grow as they got closer to his father's house. Bakugo had a tight grip on his hand and would rub his thumb over it every so often for comfort. They were two houses away when Kirishima stopped walking. "I can't go back there," he muttered.

Bakugo looked at him and the house. "Ok, so I'll do it, is there anything specific that you want?" Bakugo asked.

Kirishima looked up at him. "U-umm the shark stuffy you got me?" He asked. "A-and I guess my uniform?"

Bakugo nodded. "Ok."

Kirishima watched as Bakugo walked up to his old house, so much confidence in his stride that it radiates off him.

He had no idea why Bakugo would even want to be with a weakling like him. He couldn't stand up for himself against his dad and he couldn't even stand to go back and get his stuff, and yet Bakugo wanted him. He was loud, arrogant, impulsive, and so fucking manly and he wanted to be with Kirishima.

On the other hand, Bakugo couldn't believe Kirishima wanted to be with him. Kirishima was kind, sweet, and somehow managed to be friends with just about everyone he talked to, but he was also much stronger than he realized and had a particular aura that radiated from him. Bakugo would never understand how the omega chose him to be his boyfriend.

Kirishima lost track of time. When Bakugo came back he was carrying two large garbage bags presumably full of Kirishima's stuff. "That bastard's lucky I don't kill him right fucking now," Bakugo grumbled. "He's a fucking dick."

"How did you even get him to let you in?" Kirishima asked forcibly taking one of the large bags from Bakugo so the blond didn't have to carry two.

"He was fucking drunk out of his mind and said he was throwing it all away anyways but I stopped listening to him when he started calling you a fag and worthless."

Kirishima looked at the ground. He'd says his dad was right but he knew Bakugo would yell if he did. "So is this all my stuff?" Kirishima asked tilting his head and trying to get his mind off his father.

"I think," Bakugo grumbled. "The bastard didn't let me past the front entrance."

Kirishima couldn't help the small smile that crossed his lips. "Thanks, Kat, thanks a lot."

"What else was I supposed to do? You're my boyfriend. I couldn't watch you get kicked out of your house with only the clothes on your back."

This got Kirishima thinking. Where was he supposed to stay? He had no family in the area. He could ask his friends but he didn't want to bother them, and he didn't want to ask Bakugo, he had done too much already.

So what was left?
