It was far into the night with little dots of streetlights and ambient lights from the buildings illuminating the city below. There was a quiet, calm feeling of rest and sleep making the odd hum of static bouncing around the streets all the more out of place. Lights would flicker and other devices would stutter as the super charged particles traveled around, almost appearing to be searching. For what it was hard to say, the presence jumped from building to building searching and searching for something..or someone. "There! There! No- not good enough go, further, a bit further. Tired, we'll make it- too tired, no!" The jumble of noises and voices spoke to itself in a chaotic way, jumping back and forth in tone and decision akin to the constantly moving form of static.

It carried on looking until it paused at a particular window. Through the glass laid a sad looking apartment, a messy living room with a single person curled up asleep on the couch. The static being took a closer look, slipping through the cracks of the window and taking a peek in the person's head. They weren't terribly old but seemed to have aged beyond their years, a painful childhood and stressful life giving them the appearance of someone older. A quick peek through their memories and the buzzing from the static got louder. The shape of the being formed into a slightly more humanoid one, a wide fuzzy smile spreading across the face of it. "This one won't be missed, a perfect vessel" The overlapping voices from before had concentrated into one glitchy one, the once scattered fragments coming together in agreeance making more or a single being rather than many shoved together. The more put together creature loomed over its unsuspecting victim, grabbing their throat and filling their head with static.

The poor person barely had time to register what was happening to them before it was over. They felt a hand on their throat and a loud buzzing fill their ears and then nothing, a blank and empty darkness surrounded their being and filled their senses. They couldn't even cry out all noises swallowed by the nothingness, all they could do now was float in between existing and not. On the edge of the conscious and unconscious realms. They had no idea what was happening to them but could do nothing to stop it.

The glitched being stretched their new limbs, sitting up from the couch and admiring the feel of a physical body. "Finally.." Their voice still had an edge of static and the body they claimed now glitched and distorted as it tried to contain the foreign being now lurking within, the entity could not be more pleased with themselves. "It's been too long." They stood, testing their new legs with a sickening grin. "Good, this one will do nicely." They looked out the window with a crazed expression, twitching oddly. They finally had a suitable vessel and now nothing would keep them from finding him. The one who hurt them, left them trapped. Scared, alone. He would see what he did, they would make him pay. "See you soon~" They disappeared in a mess of glitches with an eerie cackle.
