Just his luck to get kidnapped during the event he had just a few minutes ago been excited for. This was certainly not what he had been expecting. This situation certainly wasn't ideal. Before he had a chance to let out a cry for help, he noticed who had dragged him away from the crowd.

So he wasn't being abducted. That was always a good thing!

Indubitably, he had been overreacting. Jumping to conclusions was probably one of his fatal flaws. Thank god he hadn't actually yelled for help, he would've most definitely been mocked and teased for the rest of eternity.

Rubbing the back of his neck with one hand, he shook the other person's hand with the other.

"Hi Matt," Greeted Alex quietly, flashing a smile to his friend.

Helders tried to wave his hand, but ended up clumsily dropping it on Alex's hair, "Sorreh, well, look 'o decided to show up!" His voice became loud towards the end, as he raised Turner's arm in the air, a circle of people rushed over to him, grins plastered on their faces.

"I'm sorry mate, traffic was rubbish, tha knows."

Matthew gave him a smile that translated to a 'it's alright, I'm just messing', at least that was how Alex interpreted it. Then Matt turned to the group that had formed, still holding Alex's cold arm. The small crowd consisted of Jamie, Nick and a few people from school who Al barely recognised. Unless he was in the very middle of the group, Miles wasn't any of them. He was probably drunk off his head, dancing with some bird within the crowd separate from the small one surrounding Alex. Trying not to show his disappointment, Alex wore a painted smile and talked with the little group, cracking a few jokes and adding sarcastic, amusing comments. Sure, it was alright, better than he had expected just a few minutes ago, but the only reason he had come here didn't even seem to be here.

Disheartened, he agreed to have some shots. Yellamo, a nickname for Nick, and Matt joined him in downing some alcohol that Helders had randomly bought from the bartender. Alex had half a dozen shots, not paying attention to what any of them were, just accepting whatever Matt passed him.

Lightheaded, he went back to scanning the crowd. Much to his disappointment, he couldn't spot the handsome devil he'd come here for.

"Where's Miles?" Asked Alex, his words slurred slightly as he leaned on Matt for stability.

After a couple of seconds of his eyes searching the room, Matt raised his arm and pointed over to a small corner of the room. Suddenly Alex was aware of every little thing that was going on, especially with himself. There were a couple loose strands of his hair that were falling on his forehead, was his forehead too big? He pushed them back and tried to focus on something other than all of his imperfections. It had never been easy to get Miles alone, not in school and probably not any easier now.

In for five, out for seven..

In for five, out for seven..

Calmed down ever so slightly, he made his way over to where Kane was talking to a couple of people. Alex fiddled around with the collar of his jacket, cognisant that his dark blue jeans had a few unintentional tears.

"H-hey," Any fraction of confidence he had previously owned had gone straight out the window. Playing with his hair, he watched as Miles turned around and slowly realised who was there. His already gleaming eyes lit up and he consumed Alex with a warm hug. The other people were from their secondary school, he only recognised them because Kane had often hung out with them.

After pulling away from the embrace, Miles gave Alex that lovable grin of his, "Hiya mate! I 'aven't seen ya in ages, bloody hell. How've yer been?" The grin turned to a smirk, "Any birds?"
