Author POV:

A fool.

That's what Buttercup thought of herself.

A fool who thought the person she's been developing feelings for would have the slightest feelings for her, but of course that would never happen. Butch wasn't the kind to fall in love or even like somebody romantically, all his teasing and flirting is just part of who he is and the care and worry he gave was part of their friendship.

Buttercup kicks a rock while she walks down the street. She thought if she got out of there and took a walk maybe she'll start feeling much more better about everything that just happen and it would also distract her. But Buttercup cringes about what happened a few minutes ago of how ridiculous and childish she must've looked and acted in front of him.

Buttercup's cheeks turn to a rosy red color, both from embarrassment and the cold temperature outside. Buttercup doesn't realize she's at the skate park until she sees a familiar face, "Hey!" He yells out, waving to her to come over. Buttercup checks both sides of the road to make sure no car is driving.

Buttercup crosses the road and does a handshake with her close friend, "What are you doing out here so late?" Buttercup asks, looking at the new designed skateboard. "I should be the one asking that, but I'm just trying out my new skateboard also I got stood up," Mitch whispers the last part. Buttercup dramatically looks around with wide eyes,  "Oh no, whisper more Mitch, the ghosts might hear you."

Mitch rolls his eyes and gives a soft punch on Buttercup's arm. "Whatever. Do you want to try out the skateboard?" He asks curious if she's up for it. Buttercup scoffs,  "Of course I do, the designs are pretty sweet." she says, once she feels the material on the back with her hand.  Mitch tells her where he got it and Buttercup is so interested on the topic that they spent talking for hours and trying out new moves.

Not noticing how much her phone kept vibrating from Butch's text messages and her followers retweeting and commenting on her Fan account, asking why the hell is her account so dry lately.

Buttercup doesn't return back til three in the morning and she feels thankful that Butch is asleep so they don't cross paths.

Now she's just worry what will happen when they have breakfast together. It'll definitely be awkward for starters and both will feel the tense uncomfortable atmosphere. But Buttercup has thought....maybe ask him to forget about it?

If they just avoid and forget about the argument, things could go back to normal and no problems or awkwardness will develop.

Which is what Buttercup did the next day, but of course things didn't turn out well.
