Twilight perception [Link x Reader] TP [⚠️BEING RE-WRITTEN!⚠️]

Chapter 3: Unfamiliar Familiarity (OLD)

Link and Y/N stood in awkward silence. The pressure though was truly on Y/N though because Link was a wolf, he couldn't really speak.

"So.. What do we do now?" She laughed nervously avoiding eye contact. Link couldn't really say much so he just walked forward heading towards the gate.

"Wait for me!" Y/N caught up to him walking beside him. He turned to the right heading down a path. Did he know where he was going?

She looked behind herself and saw a draw bridge and across it was a large black wall. It's appearance gave her goosebumps and she quickly turned away.

As they continued down the path Y/N saw a small clearing. On the left there was a house built halfway in a tree. On the right the path led to a gate through the hills

They continued to walk but before they could react monsters attacked them. One of them held Y/N down on the ground and the other was trying to hit Link.

Y/N grabbed a large stone next to her bashing it against the monster's head. It knocked it out for a moment in which Y/N had enough time to grab the club it had in its hands hit it with it. The monster died and she ran over to help Link. She continued to bash its head with the club soon killing it.

She panted heavily falling on her knees. "Man.. that was scary." She smiled relieved that Link was okay. "Glad you're not badly hurt."

Link put a paw on her leg trying to show her something. Y/N lifted up her dress to see she had bruises and cuts all of over them. She realize how painful it was until Link pointed it out.

"that doesn't look too good..." Y/N winced at the site of her wounds. "I might need to find somewhere to clean out the cuts.." Link nudged Y/N trying to get her to follow him. She sat up slowly inching forward. Link lead the way down the path and came to a sudden stop.

Y/N looked up to see a quaint little village right in front of her. It was so peaceful, so charming and warm.

"Link, is this where you live?" Y/N asked turning her glance to the wolf beside her. He nodded his head in response to her question. Before Y/N could say anything else Midna popped out of Link's shadow.

"You guys should be careful, especially you Link. You're beast in a village which just got attacked.. don't you remember? Eee hee hee!" Link growled at Midna his snout scrunching up. "Well while we're here why don't we get a sword and shield somewhere.." She then hid back in the shadows.

Link almost ran off when Y/N stopped him. "Wait, Link. I have a plan. Instead of trying to avoid people let's do the opposite!" Link looked at her concerned for his sanity.

"I don't mean you should get caught, what I mean is I could act all hurt and stuff and then you can grab what you need!" Y/N smiled enthusiastically, Link was still worried about the plan.

When everything was set up correctly Y/N went out in the open. She saw a man injured and covered in bandages with a torch in hand. Is he trying to protect the village? He seems so weak..

Y/N limped over to the man and pretended to fall over and pass out. The man rushed over to her. "Hey! Are you okay?!"

"Uli! Come here quickly" A woman who seemed to be pregnant ran over. "What is it Rusl- Oh dear! Who is that?!" She looked at Y/N with worry.

"I don't know but she's injured. We need to take care of her wounds." Uli nodded and helped Rusl bring her inside.

Link knew Y/N had gone inside and he ran all over the village looking for a sword and shield. He noticed two familiar people talking and decided to listen to their conversation.

"Oh! About that shield..."

"Hey! Not so loud..." He was cut off by a familiar face. It was Bo and Jaggle.

"...So, that shield is still in your house, right?" Bo asked. "Uh, yeah, it should be in our storage loft." Jaggle replied.

"Good! Go grab it, quick as you can! Rusl got wounded pretty bad, so he can't go search for the kids. I'll take over for him."

"But Rusl had a sword, Mayor! And he STILL got hurt! If you're unarmed, you're done for!" Jaggle expressed worryingly.

"I'll be fine. The sword we were goin' to present to the royal family should still be at Rusl's house." Bo reassured him.

"Oh yeah? All right, I understand, Mayor. I'll hurry up and get that shield. You just wait here..."

Link tried to walk away quietly but stepped on a tree branch and alerted them. "A-a a monster! RUN!" Bo and Jaggle ran off to who knows where scared out of their minds not knowing the beast was actually Link.

Midna popped out of his shadow "That's not a bad bit of information you got there huh? Ugh... look at that open window.. this town is full of morons. Why don't you find a way up there?" Then Midna dived back into his shadow leaving him to his thoughts.

Y/N awoke on a comfortable couch with a blanket on top of her. She turned her head around and saw a fireplace with a fire burning brightly inside.

The thing was when she acted to pass out she genuinely did pass out. Her body was weak from not eating as well as the injuries she had.

When her head came back to where it was before she saw a small glimpse of a sword. Isn't this the sword Link needed? She lifted her hand up to the blade moving her fingers down the protective case

Unexpectedly she heard the sound of someone digging. She looked all around the room to figure out where it was coming from. Then saw Link crawling out of small tunnel he made in the area which didn't have flooring covering the dirt.

"Link..?" Y/N whispered. She then noticed a wooden shield on his back carved with a symbol on it. Oh, did Link figure out where the sword was?

"Did you come for the sword, here I can get it for you!" She grabbed the sword and stood and tried to walk to him but fell over.

"Ouch... sorry Link." He ran over to her and nudged her with his snout. "Don't worry about me, I'm fine. Here's the sword." She grabbed the sword and put it on his back along with the shield.

"There you go!" Y/N smiled gently and crossed her legs. "I think I'm going to stay here for now.. I just proved I'm not really ready to keep moving and I don't want to slow you or Midna down."

Link shook his head disagreeing with her statement. He moved closer to her and glanced at her hand. It was bleeding out of many different cuts. Link licked the wounds startling Y/N.

"W-HAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Y/N yelled in a very whispered tone. Was he licking her wounds?!

Link realized what he was doing and quickly stopped. It was as if he had no control over himself. He ran off without warning, crawling back into the hole and leaving.

Was he.. embarrassed?

Sorry for the short chapter! This week I had a lot of school work to catch up on and if I didn't do it I would have to go summer school. I obviously didn't want that so over the past few weeks I've been CRAMMING like crazy so I couldn't pay much attention to writing! The next chapter will much longer though!
