Chapter 4

"Oh how i wish i was back at Hogwarts this year" wishes Bill as he stood on platform 9 3/4 with Charlie, Bree, the twins, Harry, Ginny, Ron, Hermione and Mrs Wealsey to say goodbye to the kids as they go back to Hogwarts. "Same here it would be a great experience" agrees Charlie thoughtfully. "What would be a great experience" Bree asks the two feeling confused about their topic of conversation. "Nothing you have to worry your pretty little head about yet" reassures Charlie with a smile making Bree huff in annoyance. "Alright kids you better get on the train now or it will leave without you" ushers Molly as the younger kids say their goodbyes and climb on first. "Ill see you soon Bree, im going to be at the school soon for a suprise" Charlie informs the girl with a teasing smile knowing it will annoy her further that she doesnt know whats going on. "Oh cant you just tell me" Bree whines impatiently just as Charlie pulls her in for a tight hug that she returns. "Nope but have a good year and ill see you soon" he tells her then gently kisses her forehead making her hair turn pink as she climbs onto the train, shutting the door behind her. They all wave goodbye as the train moves off down the track before splitting up to go find compartments to sit in. "Come on Bree lets go find Lee" instructs Fred as they make their way further down the train. Opening the second last compartment is where they finally find Lee sitting with rolls of parchment in front of him. "Alright Lee, you look very focused" Bree is the first to speak as she takes her seat across from him with the twins sitting either side of their other partner in crime. "Hey guys im just writting a list of possible sweets we could make to add to our inventions" Lee informs the three with a grin which instantly catches their interest. "Do tell" the three tell him in sync with mischievous grins that creep him out. "I hate it when you do that but anyway have a look ive been writting a couple ideas down over the summer and i believe these are my best ones" he tells them honestly while giving them a piece of parchment to look at with his ideas on it. "Puking pastels?" questions Bree curiosly once she reaches the two words on the parchment. "Yeah its a sweet that one end makes you vomit and if you eat the other end your cured" explains Lee excitedly. "These are great Lee we will deffinetly be trying them out as soon as possible" reassures George causing Lee to grin. "So how are you and lover boy" asks Lee teasingly as he turns his attention to Bree. "Oh for godric sake, here we go again" groans Bree causing the other three to chuckle.

Bree seriously debated talking to her three friends ever again after the teasing they gave her on the train but decide it was only fair they did what they did as she would do the same to them. Bree barely took a few steps into the Great Hall when she ended up being tackled to the floor by her only Hufflepuff friend Abby. "Oh my Helga girl i missed you so much" Abby exclaims loudly drawing attention to them and causing people to laugh at the two girls as they were well used to their antics by now. "Oh my beautiful bean i have missed you oh so much" Bree exclaims in return just as dramatically as the two manage to get back onto their feet and take their seats at the Hufflepuff table. "Im glad your alright cause i remember you telling me you were going to the match and i was so worried after i saw the paper" Abbey tells her best friend worriedly while hugging her tightly again. "Im sorry i worried you but im honestly fine, we all got out ok although Charlie did hurt his arm" Bree reassures the girl while returning the hug. "Oh Godric is he alright" asks Abby as she pulls away to look at her sister from another mister. "Hes fine as soon as we got back to the Burrow i fixed him right up" reassured Bree with a smile. "Well thats good it wasnt too bad" Abby manages to say just before Dumbledore begins his speech. "Hogwarts id like to make an announcement, you see Hogwarts has been chosen to host a legandary event, The Triwizard Tournament" Dumbledore informs his students just before Abbey, Bree and Fred jump up in shock shouting "your joking" which then sends the hall into loud laughter. "No im not joking Mr Weasley, Ms Tonks and Ms Heartstring" Dumbledore tells the three with a chuckle once the laughter had died down. "For those who dont know what it is, the tournament brings together three schools to take part in three challenges and only one student is selected from each school. Let me be clear if chosen you stand alone and trust me when i say these challenges are not for the faint hearted but more of that later. For now please help me in welcoming the lovely ladies of the Beauxbatons academy of magic and their headmistress Madame Maxine" explains Dumbledore before everyones attention moves to the opening doors. Girls wearing satin blue uniforms with hats saunter in an organized fashion and stop every few feet on their way to the top of the room to sigh with their arms out to the side. They then run up to the top and release blue butterflies while a younger girl does a ballet performance. Everyone cheers for the girls performance, especially the boys, once they have finished and taken their seats at the Ravenclaw table. "They are way to girly for my taste but you never know they could be nice in person" comments Abby making Bree nod her head in agreement. Dumbledore then gets everyone to become silent again before announcing "now please welcome our friends from the north, the proud sons of Durmstang and their headmaster Igor Karkarov". Everyones attention moves back to the opening doors again only to see boys wearing brown uniforms with sticks entering the room. They slam their sticks on the ground every now and again creating sparks while chanting before running up to the front and doing tricks like flips. They then end their performance by blowing a phoenix made of fire in front of Dumbledore causing everyone to cheer again, especially alot of the girls this time. "You know they arn't half bad to look at" Abbey comments with a grin as she watches the boys sit at the Slytherin table. Bree just shakes her head at her friends comment before giving her attention to the food that appeared on the table. "Im going to bet you will get at least one of their attention" comments Bree knowingly as she puts spuds, ham and sweetcorn on her plate. "Do you know me at all of course i will" answers Abbey while also adding food to her plate causing Bree to chuckle.

Once everyone had eaten their fill they took notice of a gold box being placed in front of the staff table as Dumbledore gets up from his seat to stand next to it. "Hogwarts id like to say a few words, eternal glory, thats what awaits the student who wins the Triwizard Tournament. However a student must survive three tasks, three extremely dangerous tasks" Dumbledore informs the students seriously. "Awesome" Bree comments to herself before Dumbledore continues speaking "for this the ministry of magic has assigned a new rule which Mr Barty Crouch head of magical cooperation will explain". Suddenly the ceiling turns storming with lightening and thunder causing students to scream and panic before an unknown wizard uses his wand to put it back to normal. The unknown man then hobbles his way to Dumbledore and shakes his hand in greeting as they whisper between each other. "Thats Alaster Moody isn't it" questions Bree curiously to Abbey who nods while commenting "yeah thats him the Auror, most of Azkabans cells are filled because of him". Barty Crouch then steps in front of the gold box which grabs the attention of the students as he starts to speak "after due consideration, the ministry has deemed for their own safety no students under the age seventeen will be able to put forth their name". Up roar breaks out after that blocking everything else out that Barty Crouch says. "SILENCE" Dumbledore shouts causing his voice to vibrate off the walls and for everyone to quickly go silent. He then uses his wand to melt the gold box and reveal a brown goblet that then lights up in a blue flame. Bree and Abby share a look of awe before returning they attention to the headmaster "The Goblet of Fire. Anyone wishing to put forth their name for the tournament may only write their name on a piece of parchment and throw it in the fire before this time Thursday night. Do not do so lightly, if chosen theres no turning back. As from this moment the Triwizard Tournament has begun".

"Now i know what Charlie was teasing me about" muses Bree as she lays in bed that night. "How did he know" asks Abby quietly from her bed next to Bree trying not to wake their dormmates. "I think hes gonna be in charge of one of the tasks cause he said he would see me soon, maybe one of the tasks is to do with dragons" Bree thinks out loud to herself. "Are you going to enter" asks Abby worriedly as she thinks over how dangerous Dumbledore said it would be. "Yeah but dont worry about me ill be fine" Bree tries to reassure her. "Ill always worry about you i cant help it" replies Abby which makes Bree smile fondly. "Im not doing it for the glory though im doing it for adventure and something to tell the future kids about" Bree explains to the girl honestly. "You mean you and Charlies future children" teases Abbey gaining a pillow to the face causing her to giggle quietly with Bree soon joining in.
