Hello guys! It's finally time for the Joey Hopper Q&A :) Let's get into it...

Question: Sense Joyce and Hopper were kind of a thing in season three, what would the relationship between Joey and Will be? Would they be stepsiblings or something?

Answer: That's a great question and actually one of the first things that came to mind when I started writing book one. Even if Joyce and Hopper officially got together (which I'm really hoping they do) I don't think it would get in the way of Joey and Will's relationship. I'm guessing that Joyce and Hopper wouldn't get married for at least a few years anyways and Joey and Will have been friends for years before that. I don't think they would just instantly see each other as siblings. It's a complicated and kind of awkward topic but I mean, every family has something weird going on, right? It's also not exactly like sweet home Alabama lol, considering that there in no way actually related and they didn't grow up as siblings.

Question: Are you going to write a book three?

Answer: There has been a lot of confusion about this so I might as well clear it all up. Book three is definitely coming out :) Whenever I finish a fanfiction, I almost always edit it fully before I jump into the next book in the series. I don't change any of the actual writing, I just fix up the spelling and grammar. I haven't started writing book three but it will probably come out in the next month or two. I'm trying not to rush book three (even though I'm super excited for it) purely because we don't even currently know when season four of Stranger Things is going to come out and I don't want to have a huge hiatus in between book three and four.

Question: Can you please explain Joey's powers to me?

Answer: Of course! They're pretty similar to Elevens. She can move things with her brain and go into the black inky place where Eleven watches people sometimes. Every once in a while I'll add something extra in there to spice things up but honestly Elevens powers are never very clearly laid out so I decided to do a similar thing for Joey😀

Question: Why did Joey cut her hair?

Answer: There's a few reasons for it. The main one is that it is supposed to be a big outward change that reflects what's going on inside of her mind. She's not exactly the same girl that she was in book one. She's been exposed to things that have kind of thrown her childhood innocence out the window. To reflect that, she doesn't really wear dresses anymore or have her long flowing hair. This was also supposed to represent a shift in the story. Up until that point a lot had been happening but they had all still kinda been in the dark, not wanting to except that dangerous things had started happening again. After she cut her hair, things started to kind of go to shit. The less serious reason for her change in appearance though was just that I really wanted to cut my hair lol

Question: Do you have an updating schedule for your stories?

Answer: Not exactly. I've always wanted to have one but I just get too distracted and writing starts to feel like a chore. I do try to update all of my books once a week and my rule since I started Joey Hopper book one is that an update will never take more than a month. Another reason why I don't have a schedule is because I have two fanfiction series going on right now. Obviously, I have Joey Hopper but I also have my Percy Jackson series Child of lightning. Sometimes I have more inspiration for one than the other and I write a ton for that one series. I don't think I've ever neglected a series, but if I had a schedule I don't think I'd be able to be as productive.

Question: Are you going to publish another book anytime soon?

Answer: I'm always tempted to but I made a rule that I wont start another fanfiction series until I finish Joey Hopper. I'm already busy enough as it is lol. I'm planning on doing a fanfiction about the tv show Supernatural (aka, my favorite show) but that probably won't be coming out for a while. It's not a priority at the moment. I am interested though, what other tv show, movie, or book would you guys want me to make a fanfiction for next?
