We all just stand there for a moment, almost as still and quiet as a picture. She knows, I mean she gotta know, right? I could already tell that she was starting to get suspicious in Mr. Clarkes room but now? It's not like I can cover this one up.

Ultimately I awkwardly sigh and say, "we gotta find Dart."

I start to run off but nobody is following me.

"Come on," I shout. "Now!"

Almost like someone flips a switch, the boys all start running after me. I'm not sure if Max is coming but I slightly hope she's not. I hope that she just goes home and we never bring this up again. Not ever.

My dads already pissed enough at me, I don't even want to think about what he'd do if he found out that someone saw me using my powers. His words ring in my ears, 'we don't take risks, there stupid.' I guess I'm more stupid then I thought.

"What was that?" Max questions.

I can tell she's probably talking about me but Mike just responds, "Dart."

"What?" She questions as we all stop running.

Mike turns on her. "You let him escape!"

Before I can even blink Dustin's shoving Mike, "why did you attack him."

"Come on." Mike complains while walking away.

"I went at Dart too, Dustin." I say as he chases after Mike. "Get mad at me!"

Dustin just ignores me though as he stops running, calling after Mike whose now long gone, "don't you hurt him Mike! Don't you hurt him!"

Lucas and I walk down the empty hallways. We all split up to look for Dart. I decided to tag along with Lucas for a while since he was going as far away from Max as I could get. I'm gonna split up with him later though and check outside. There's no way Dart could have gotten that far, it's just to make sure.

Suddenly my walky starts making noise.

"East is clear." Mike's voice rings through, "no sign of Dart."

"Well that's just great." I huff.

"I don't see anything." Lucas says to me.

"Yeah," I start. "I don't think he came this way either-"

Dustin's voice crackles, "west is clear too, Will?"

"South is clear." Will says.

Lucas is about to lift his walky when I stop him.

"Wait, look. He could still be in Miss. Cherry's room." I say, pointing to the last door in the hallway.

He puts an arm out in front of me. "Stay back."

I'm about to protest when he runs up and kicks open the door like he's a frickin ninja.

"Excuse me Mr. Sinclair, Miss. Hopper!" Miss. Cherry shouts from where she stands collecting her things at her desk.

I thought she'd be long gone by now. Obviously by the look on Lucas's face, he figured the same.

"S-sorry." He stammers, "we were looking for study hall."

We stand there for a second before I grab Lucas's arm. "We'll be going now."

"Bye." Lucas quickly says.
