The Seven Deadly Sisters

No person is inherently evil or good. In fact, the concepts of good and evil are entirely set by society, never was it written in stone. Yet we as humans still decide to set all these boundaries. We are shaped by our environments, learning new things with every encounter. Now don't get me wrong, I do think pure evil exists. But what people fail to realize is that evil is just as necessary as good. You learn just as much from your mistakes as you do from your successes. But society doesn't let humans make mistakes. There are so many people who think that living the "right way" will grant you some sort of paradise in the afterlife. I can't wait for the day when those people realize they are wrong.
My sisters and I have existed for millenniums. We reincarnate every decade or so as humans set with the intention to tempt people with their most inner desires. History has painted us to be demonic, but really we serve no higher power. We are notoriously known as the "Seven Deadly Sins," something to be afraid of. But really you should be more afraid of yourself. We are only dangerous to those who have a willingness to accept our temptations.
I am the first of the "deadly sins" and arguably the best. My eternal name is Fala, but I go by the name of Fae. My sisters and I are currently inhabiting the bodies of twenty-one-year-old juniors in college. I must say the modern-day college experience has been fun. Many young impressionable adults have large egos as it is. They aren't too difficult to inflate. In most conversations, they will only talk about themselves. I will bat my pretty little sapphire eyes and stroke their ego. It is especially hilarious when I find an arrogant man who likes to mansplain things to me. It's hard not to laugh, so I usually twirl my hair and bite my lip to hide my gestures. Arrogant men haven't changed throughout the ages. The sense of pride that fuels me with the most passion is that of a college athlete. I will let them talk my ear off for hours. There is something enticing about their competitive nature that I absolutely adore.
I often like to pair up with my sister Pofta, or Pheobe as she likes to call herself. If a goddess really existed, she would be the textbook definition of one. Her beauty is absolutely enchanting. She has long brunette hair that she likes to wear in braids, with small pieces to frame her face. Her skin is smooth and soft to the touch. Her features are delicate and with large rounded doe eyes. Anyone who lays their eyes on her is put into a trance. Her beauty is especially attractive to those filled with pride because they view her as a conquest. But Pofta is good at her games. Pofta is quite the flirt. She will spend all night teasing her suitors with slightly seductive jokes and innocent caresses. She likes to tempt people with a significant other because she enjoys the drama. It is rare that she doesn't succeed in her conquests. There is something sinister about sex, people are willing to risk anything for it. Pofta is also intrigued by the newfound sexual openness of women. She feels the sexual openness of this era to be empowering, although she can sometimes get lost in it. She is much less worried about her reputation in this lifetime than her previous ones.
Lacomie and Lene are twins, although the two are far from alike. Lacomie goes by the name Lacie. She thrives in the college environment because many students feel the need to overindulge after leaving the confinements of their childhood homes. Lacomie loves to drink and throw parties, which is exactly why she took on the role of President of Phi Mu Theta. The party environment is the easiest to manipulate. People show up with full intentions of getting wasted and having regrets. The overindulgence of alcohol is widely accepted. Lacie likes to mess with the frat boys from Alpha Sigma. She likes to hold competitions such as who can shotgun a beer the quickest and who can take the most shots down the ice luge because she knows they will do it without question.
Lene is not into partying at all. She prefers to lay in bed and watch her favorite shows on Netflix. Lene lives to suck the energy out of people. She preys upon college students and their motivation. Lene works very differently from the rest of us because she does not interfere using any physical action. She manipulates emotion through the transfer of energy. Lene is very lazy herself. She influences others through bad behavior. Lene goes to class, but never pays attention. She often likes to sleep instead of taking notes and some of the surrounding students do the same. She also likes to hang around the students who are in danger of dropping out or failing. Those who don't care about their grades or turn in their assignments are Lene's favorites. Lene is arguably the most dangerous to be around because if she does influence your behavior, it is the hardest to bounce back from. Those who are unmotivated have no desire to change and she will take advantage of that. She can cause people to lose jobs, fail classes, or even end relationships. Lene lacks desire or compassion, she simply doesn't care about anything. That type of energy can be lethal.
Invidia is the youngest of the sisters. Her ability to cause drama is impeccable. Invidia is quite the gossip. The people in this time period are so concerned with the lives of others. She causes a great deal of arguments between friends over almost anything. It is way too easy for her to turn people against each other due to individual jealousy. The majority of fights are caused by a romantic interest. Friends also love to compete with one another. Despite their love for each other, they want to be the prettiest, most popular, smartest, etc. Invidia will play on everyone's insecurities. She knows how to pinpoint an individual's insecurities and magnify them. The college community is especially susceptible because they are young and just starting to discover themselves. No one is fully accepting of their own beings yet. Invidia also adores social media, especially Instagram. She herself is way too concerned with having people follow her, like her posts, and write comments. She wants people to think she has the best life but gets easily jealous when she looks at other profiles. Social media breeds jealousy. People stalk profiles to see what others are up to. But the thing is, no one realizes that someone's presence on social media isn't actually an accurate representation of their lives. This facade makes people feel insecure about themselves.
Furie is the oldest of the siblings. She takes a special interest in Invidia because she feels responsible for her. The two of them easily get into arguments with each other because they are so hotheaded. However, they do work well together when it comes to how they interact within society. Jealousy often leads to anger, which is Furie's specialty. Furie finds the most entertainment in bar fights because she can start them over the most ridiculous of circumstances. There was one time when she convinced two people to swing at each other just because they rooted for two different college football teams. Anger is a normal emotion to feel, but Furie tries to make it overwhelming. Her favorite kind of anger is the kind that gets built up over time. She is able to target those that bite their tongues because they keep unresolved pent-up emotion. Those arguments become the most explosive, even though they might also be the most ridiculous. Furie's weakness is communication. It is easy to find forgiveness when people are able to listen and understand each other.
Nesat is the last of my sisters. This society is one that excites her because it is run by money and has been for a while now. She herself is stingy and selfish. It isn't hard for her to find people who want nothing but to gain. Money has become a language and Nesat has a fluent tongue. She is obsessed with wearing the latest fashions and decorating her body with the finest jewelry. Her affluent appearance draws like-minded individuals who only want to outdo her. The competitive nature of money is also fascinating to Nesat because there are people who are willing to do absolutely anything for it.
