Chapter 12

I quickly wipe my eyes as I turn around. "Are you okay Momma?" Alaina asks as she walks to me.

"Yeah," I say and she stops not believing me for a second.

Why does my daughter have to be so smart?

"Promise?" Lanie asks.

I look at Tobin and Christen behind me then smile as I turn back around to look at Alaina.

"Promise."

Present

Erin's POV:

It has been a few days since Christen and Tobin came over. For New Years, Alaina and I stayed home. My parents came over along with Willow, Henry, Christen, and Tobin. You can just imagine how it was when Willow and Henry saw Christen and Tobin, but I won't go into detail. However, Christen and Tobin did unfortunately have to leave. We have been on FaceTime a lot though. We have grown a lot closer and I loved spending time with them.

Right now I am in an room that is just black walls with green screens. I am with Willow, Kendall, Bella, Hailey, Gigi, and my team. Some lights are strung up as well. We are shooting the music video for my new song that I am dedicating to Alaina. The song was approved the first day it was written. I plan on having it released in a few weeks and the music video a few days after.

In the meantime, I will be giving some hints out. "Are you going to tell us what the song is called?" Bella asks as we walk in the field.

"Better Place," I tell them as I sit at the piano that was set up.

"What is it about?" Hailey asks and I chuckle.

"Why don't you listen and find out?" I tell them and they nod with a smile.

"Alright people! Let's set up for the first shot!" Willow shouts.

I get ready as everyone else does as well. "Alright, first take!" The director says as the camera is put onto me, "And action!"

A few weeks later

"Hello, everyone," I say on the Instagram live, "So, you possibly have already heard my song Better Place tat was released a few days ago. However, right after I end this live, the music video will be released and you will find out the reasoning behind the song. I would love to hear what all of you think about it. I hope you all enjoy. Thank you for the support."

I wave towards the camera and end the live. "And it's up," Willow says and everyone in the room claps. I decided to have a release party for the video. My parents, Willow's parents, Henry, Willow, Zayn, Abel, Gigi, Bella, Hailey, Kendall, and of course, Alaina, are all here. 

"Okay, before we start, I have a surprise for my daughter," my mother says making me confused, "You deserve to be with everyone who cares about you and that would not be the same without two very important people."

After my mom says then the front door opens and I look at it in shock. "Toby! Pressy!" Alaina shouts as she runs to them.

"Lanie!" They shout as they crouch down and pull her into a hug.

I walk over to them and they stand up with Alaina in Christen's arms. "I missed you guys," I tell them as I wrap my arms around them.

"We missed you too," they say as they hug me back.

"Okay! I want to see the video!" Henry shouts making everyone chuckle and the three of us pull away.

"Alright, alright. Go ahead," I say and everyone makes their way to the movie theater in my house.
