"oh bambam...."

bambam's scream was muffled, his mouth stuffed with fabric.

"another day, and they still haven't come for you."

a tear slid down his face. hot. his eyes stung, and ached from too many tears. there was no way to tell how long he'd been tied up in the dark, but it had felt like an age, felt like he would never see the outside world again.

he would only see jaebeom, and the cruel smirk that adorned his lips.

"i'm gonna take the sock out of your mouth." jaebeom said, reaching down to pull the fabric out, "but if you scream, you know what happens."

oh he knew. he still had scars on his arms.

bambam gasped, almost feeling a shred of happiness. the fabric was horrible, truly hell. it dried his mouth, meant he couldn't swallow. it was a blessing when jaebeom let him take it out.

"t-thank you." he choked.

jaebeom's smirk only grew wider.

"it's time bambam."

and bambam's heart stopped, "what?"

"jinyoung's fingerprints are on this knife."

from a small table in the corner, a grimy, crooked thing with uneven legs and a foul stench, jaebeom retrieved a meat knife. his hands bore thick leather gloves.

the knife was sharp, and big. jaebeom chuckled slightly as he felt the weight of it in his palms, perfectly balanced.

"does park know?" bambam whispered hoarsely, as jaebeom approached him with the knife. if jaebeom was about to do what bambam thought he was about to do, he had to know if park was in on it. "is this his plan too? because.. he'll do anything for you... because he loves you.."

"what's new?" jaebeom laughed, "that idiot was even more gullible than i could've hoped."

not a straight answer, but bambam was at least a little convinced that this wasn't park's doing.

"w-what.. what are you gonna do to me?" bambam asked, even though he knew it was obvious. a knife, park's finger prints, jaebeom slowly approaching him.

the smirk grew into a wide grin, evil, "oh bambam.. i'm going to kill you."

"i know.. and you're gonna blame it on park."

"exactly."

the knife gleamed in the dull light as it swung towards bambam. the small, shivering boy held his breath, and squeezed his eyes shut.

he tried to think of yugyeom, his smiling face, the only person who hadn't let him down. he pictured their time together, his sacrifice for bambam, their small secret conversations and inside jokes.

if he was going to die, he wanted to die with yugyeom in his mind.

from somewhere above them, a clattering sound, and then the bang of a shutting door.

"fucking hell." jaebeom swore, "jinyoung's home."

as if to answer him, jinyoung called from upstairs, "jaebeom! i'm home baby!" his voice was muffled, bambam knew they were in the basement.

jaebeom's face was the very picture of anger, he reeled over to glare at bambam.

"we'll finish this another time." he threw the knife onto the table, "and trust me bambam, we will finish this."

and then he was gone.
