I took in a breath of the warm spring air. Hanako was by my side, his dark brown hair flowing in the breeze. He made me so flustered.
He glanced over at me and smirked.

"What are you blushing about?" He asked. I looked down at my feet and smiled. Hanako reached over and rested his hand on mine. I shifted towards him on the bench we were sitting on.

"Did you know I have a twin brother? His name is Shimizu Nori. He went to this school but he decided to go live with our grandparents because they live near a really good university." I continued.
"Apparently you have to live near a university before you attend." I was being sarcastic. Ever since he moved away, I had really missed him and Hanako was one of the only people I could vent to.
Hanako looked like he was lost in thought.

"He's still alive.. right?" I was confused by his concern, but I answered because he looked troubled.

"Yeah..? Yeah, he is. Why do you ask?"

"I don't really want to talk about it." He slumped down like he was thinking over something.
Maybe something happened to his sibling. I won't pester him about it, he can open up when he's ready.
To comfort him, I rested my head on his shoulder.

"Anyway, the sunlight looks so cool at this time. I think people refer to it as the 'golden hour'."

"Huh, I wonder why they call it that. Beats me!" Hanako giggled. I laughed at his humor, feeling an all-to-familiar flutter in my stomach.
"Hey Aoki, you know you still haven't wished for anything." Hanako noted.
I guess I have a wish, but I'm not certain if it's possible. Particularly with Hanako himself.

"I uhh, I do have a wish but.. I don't think it's the right time." I admitted. I remembered that every wish had a price and I didn't know what to anticipate.

"Aww don't be afraid! I'm not here to judge." Hanako smirked like he often did.
So cute..
"But if you don't want to say, that's totally fine. But don't hesitate to bring it up!"

"Hey Hanako-Kun, can I ask you something somewhat unrelated?" I asked.

"Depends on your question, but sure." He replied.

"Do you.. do you like me as a friend, or..." I regretted asking that question, Yet Hanako didn't appear to find my question awkward or too straightforward.

"Don't you remember the interaction we had last week?" Hanako gazed at me. He leaned in close to my face and put his right hand on my cheek, and his left hand on my waist. He smirked again, teasing me.

"I could never forget." I smiled back and kissed him.
That appeared to have caught him off guard, as his face went a vivid shade of red.

For the remainder of dusk, I cuddled with Hanako on the rooftop. Despite his 'physical' body being cold, his soul was warm.

I believe it was mid-day. I stepped into my classroom, but there wasn't anyone in there, besides one individual. I walked over to them.
"Hello?" I called out to him. He looked directly at me. I recognized him from somewhere.. his brown hair and big amber eyes.
"Who are you?" The boy asked.
"My name is Shimizu Aoki. I feel like I recognize you, what's your name?" I asked.
"It's Yugi Amane. I don't recognize you though.." he uttered. I had a feeling something was wrong, but I couldn't place it.
"Forget you ever saw me. Forget this ever happened, okay?" he looked me straight in the eyes, It frightened me. I felt.. wind on my face, but everything was gone.

I must have fallen asleep because I woke up early the next morning, the sun hardly reaching the horizon.
I rubbed my eyes, recognizing Hanako laying underneath me. I laid my head back down on his chest. For a brief moment, I heard his heartbeat. I blinked in confusion, but his heartbeat was gone.

"Morning, Aoki. You fell asleep mid-conversation last night. You were tired and I didn't want to be rude and wake you up." Hanako patted my head, messing up my hair on purpose.
"Won't your parents be worried about you? I mean you have School today so you can't exactly go home.." Hanako pointed out.

"My mom might have noticed if she checked my room, but she usually goes straight to bed. My dad, however, not sure." I yawned. My mind cleared, I could barely remember my dream. I closed my eyes, attempting to recollect my thoughts.

"I had a weird dream last night. I have a feeling it might have moment something, but I can't really remember everything that happened." I sat up, grabbing my phone from my bag.

"Well, what do you remember?" Hanako asked me.

"I was in my classroom, and I think there was someone there with me. He told me his name, but I don't recall what it was." I looked at Hanako, suddenly I recognized that he looked like the kid from my dream. I glanced at the time.
I assumed Hanako wasn't his real name, but maybe that's just a coincidence? It's only 8 in the morning, maybe I can ask him about it.

"Hanako-Kun?"

"Yes?" Hanako smiles at me.

"I'm just curious, but I assume that Hanako isn't the name you were born with.. what is-" I was cut off by Hanako unexpectedly standing up in front of me, pulling out a knife. Hanako put his hand on my shoulder firmly and stared at me dead in the eyes.

"Go to class right now, I promise I'll be fine." He was serious, it startled me. I whirled around without asking questions and ran.
I glanced back for a quick moment, there was someone there with Hanako. He looked exactly like him, a perfect mirror image.
