Getting To Know Eri and Shoto

3rd Person POV

After Eri and Shoto were shown around the school, they were sitting at a table in the cafeteria.

"So how are you guys feeling about the school?" Mirio asked

"I think I like it." Eri said looking up."

"Me too... I guess..." Todoroki responded.

"That's great! I'm glad you guys like the school!" Midoriya exclaimed.

"Yeah! That's great! And you'll guys love the upcoming festival!" Mirio said.

"Festival?" Shoto asked truning his head towards Mirio.

"Yeah! It's awesome! I'm actually gonna be a dancer for what my class is doing!" Midoriya told them.

"That's so cool Mr. Deku!" Eri exclaimed

"Yeah! Well I better head off to practice now!" Deku waved them goodbye and ran off

"So Eri and Shoto, tell me a little bit about yourself." Mirio turned to the two.

Shoto and Eri just looked at him blankly, they hadn't had conversation with anybody else but them. Mirio noticed this and started off first.

"So how about we talk about our quirks to start us off?" Mirio asked.

"I think you know mine." Eri said quietly.

"Your quirk is a very cool one Eri!" Mirio smiled.

"How about you Shoto?" Mirio asked him.

'It's called Half Cold Half Hot' Shoto signed with his hands not wanting to speak.

Mirio understood sign language and smiled and said

"Wow! Sounds awesome! Can you explain what it does?"

Instead of explaining Shoto just stood up and demonstrated activating his fire and his ice side at the same time.

"Woah! That's so cool!" Mirio exclaimed

'Thanks' Shoto signed

"Now how about we talk about our favourite hero?" Mirio asked.

"Mine is Mr. Deku!" Eri cheered.

Shoto just looked down, memories of his past life flooding into his head. He started to tear up, he quickly tried to wipe away the tears before they were noticed but Mirio already saw him tearing up.

"Hey, it's ok to cry you know? Everybody does. And I'm sorry if that question made you uncomfortable." Mirio said calming Shoto down.

Shoto eventually calmed down and Mirio kept talking to them about U.A. and how nice everyone is.

"U-Um... I have a question..." Eri said quietly.

"What is it?" Mirio asked looking at the girl with a smile.

"W-What's gonna happen to me and Shoto?" Eri asked.

"Well, for now, you guys are going to stay at U.A. and when we find Shoto's actual family he will live with them!" Mirio responded.

"O-Oh... so I won't see Shoto?" Eri looked up at Mirio with sad eyes.

"You'll still be able to see him! Don't worry! U.A.'s still not completely sure about everything." Mirio answered.

"Oh, ok." Eri responded.

"Hey Shoto, do you remember your last name?" Mirio turned his attention to Shoto.

"Oh... I think it was T-Todoroki...?" Shoto answered not looking up.

"Ok, thanks! This will help a lot!" Mirio exclaimed.

'How do you know sign language?' Shoto signed

"Oh! I learned it just in case I met anybody like you or people who are deaf!" Mirio answered.

'How are you always so happy?' Shoto signed again.

"Well you just need things to be happy about! And me and everyone here at U.A. will make it our mission to make you two happy!" Mirio exclaimed.

Shoto looked up at Mirio, his dull, lifeless eyes had a hint of light in them and you could see a ghost of a smile on his face. This sight made Mirio very happy, he then looked at Eri who had the smallest smile on her face.
