As years and years went on, Foederis worked at a restaurant and got his own apartment. Whenever he was off work, he always made time for writing. Whether it be a short story, poem, or just a diary entry, Foederis always had a pen and pencil in hand.
One day, while writing in the park, the most gorgeous girl he has ever seen sat next to him and asked, "What are you writing?"
He nervously passed her his notebook. Even though Foederis wants to be a poet one day, he still gets nervous when other people read his work.
He watches the girl while she reads his short story. She slowly grew a smile on her face when she got to the last paragraph of the story.
"Wow. That was astounding. Do you plan to write as a profession?" The girl asked in curiosity.
Foederis replied, rubbing the back of his neck, "I hope so. I don't really know how to start writing professionally though. I'm sorry, I've neglected to introduce myself. My name is Foederis Heu Taciti." He shook the girl's hand.
She replied with a smile, "It's very nice to meet you, Foederis. My name is Pura Malum. Just call me Pura for short."
They sat in silence, admiring each other's company.
Pura looked up at Foederis and asked, "Would you like to go for a walk with me? It seems like a nice day to do so."
Foederis agreed and they began on their little journey around the city. They talked and walked for hours without realizing how late it was getting until they realized that the sun was going down.
"Goodness, we've been talking for hours haven't we" Foederis said and chuckled.
Pura laughed and replied, "It seems so. Would you like to come by my house for a bite? You must be starving after all that chatter we just did." They began to laugh.
Foederis said, "If it's no trouble. I don't want to intrude if you have any other plans."
"I haven't anything else to do. Besides, it's been so long since I've had company." Pura exclaimed.
Luckily, Pura lived just around the corner. So they didn't have to walk far.
Pura lived in a small, but beautiful apartment. She had covered the walls with classical art in gold frames. She seemed to be living like a princess.
Pura guided Foederis to a sofa in the living room and told him to sit down. Pura said in the doorway of the kitchen, "I'll just be making dinner. It won't take long. Would you like anything? A glass of water?"
Foederis stood and said nervously, "No thank you, but might I use your lavatories?"
Pura replied, "Of course you can. It's down the haul, 3rd door to the left."
Foederis thanked her and found the bathroom. He noticed that there wasn't a mirror to be seen in the bathroom. He grew a little confused, but decided not to ask questions anyway. He finished up and went back to the sofa in the sitting room.
When dinner was prepared, it smelled amazing. Pura had prepared A lasagna that looked, and smelled, absolutely perfect.
Foederis noticed that Pura didn't fix a plate for herself. Only one for Foederis.
"Are you not hungry?" Foederis asked while sitting at the dinning room table.
Pura replied, "Not at the moment. Maybe I'll have something afte- I mean later."
Foederis felt very confused, but decided not to ask and took a bite out of his lasagna.
Pura said while standing up, "Excuse me, I must go powder my nose." Pura walked to the direction of the bathroom.
Foederis was sitting faced with his back towards the hallway, so he couldn't see Pura walking to the direction of the bathroom.
Pura quietly snuck out of the bathroom and got up behind Foederis.
Foederis tried to turn around, but he was too late.
