Jennifer's POV
"Come on mom! We'll be late" I heard David complaining.
Today Ryan's baseball team has a game and we are invited. Of course, David is really excited. They haven't seen each other for like two weeks because we were in Brooklyn.
"Im ready baby, lets go" I said and we headed to the car.
We reached the playground and here he is. Wearing white Tshirt and red shorts and red cap. I cant lie he looks sexy. Really sexy.
David spotted spotted Ryan and ran to him. I smiled inside, David is happy. They are really close and that makes me happy too.
Im sure that Harry would be happy. Harry... Today is his birthday.
Little I knew, I was crying already. I whiped my tears and reached them. "Hi Ryan" I smiled.
He was holding David and David had one of those big gloves on his hand. "Hi Jen" he pulled me for a hug with his free arm.. okay..
Ryan's POV
The game is over and we won. David is literally the happiest one on the playground. I tossed him in the air and went to Jennifer.
"Congratulations Ryan" she smiled. Her arms are on her sides.
"Thank you! Lets go somewhere to celebrate it?" "Do you want ice cream?" I asked David.
"Yes!"
"Im sorry guys. I have some work to do" "But mom-" David pouted
"You can stay with Ryan, baby. I'll come for you later. Kay?" Jennifer leaned closer to me to peck David's cheek.
Her smell tho..
"Bye Ryan. Take care of him!" she smiled and left. I just nodded.
I recollected my thoughs and smiled at David. "Where are we going?" I asked him.
Jennifer's POV
It's Harry birthday. 5th birthday without him. Every year I buy small cake and go to the cemetery. I eat it by myself and stay there for an hour or two. It's so peaceful and quiet.
I get out of the car and go to Harry's grave.
The white stone and old flowers is all I see everytime. I put the new flowers and sit on the small bench.
"Hey Babydoll" I smiled. Holding back my tears.
"Happy birthday by the way. I couldnt ask you what you want as I used to do but I bring cake!" I giggle.
I felt the wind blows. Its Harry, he hears me.
"I miss you. Everyday. I miss your voice, your touch. I miss everything about you" I sigh.
I stay silent for a moment, fighting back my tears.
"Remember..Hm years ago.. Your worst birthday ever? At Leah's. It was really awful and stressful. Back then everything was different. Chris and Adam were together. You were here. But that was the night when you asked me to have a child. That was the night when you asked me painful death by a desease or watching my beloved dying by it."
"Its funny how I am telling you this every year. Oh, Im sorry for not bringing David. I guess you miss him, he misses you too, Harry. Now he is with his new friend Ryan. Ryan is his teacher, like in the book you were reading before that day. Actually I read and it's kinda physcho. Anyway Ryan is really nice towards David, but dont worry David knows who is his father and he is not confused about it."
It's been an hour since I am here. Time flies.
"Babydoll, I should go now. See you next time. Be here" I giggled .
I whiped my tears and headed back to my car. I went back to the playground and found David and Ryan playing with a ball. It's adorable.
"Hi guys" I said when I reached them.
"Hi mom" David hugged me "Hey Jen" Ryan waved awkwardly.
"David, baby, we should go now" I said and fuffed his hair. "Okay. Bye Ryan" he waved ad Ryan.
"Bye buddy. Bye Jen." he said and kissed my cheek.
Oh God. He kissed my cheek.
