"Racers! Are you ready?!" A girl, who's name wasn't really important, asked the two competitors.
Chan and Double B simply revved their engines, the loud roaring echoing through the night sky.
People cheering and getting hyped up for the biggest race.
East side v.s South side. The two best champions.
The girl throws her hands up in the air, "ready! Steady!"
Chan's hands grip the steering, he can hear his friends cheering for him. But he blocked it out, the only thing in focus was the road ahead of him.
"Go!" The girl throws her arms down and off went the racers.
A cloud of smog and and gas trailing behind them. The crowd coming closer together and cheering as they watched.
Chan can see from his mirror that Double B was close to his rear but still behind.
He smirked to himself, seeing that he had a slight advantage.
His right hand falls onto the gear stick. Hurriedly changing gears as he speeds up. Leaving Double B behind.
Chan was going to win yet another race. He can see the finish line.
Maybe he spoke to soon because he looked to his right and sees the white Camaro gaining speed and now making them head to head.
Chan scoffs and shifts his gears again, pressing the gas pedal even further. The speedometers needle moving and the numbers increasing.
"Come on Chan! I have $100 on the line!" Jisung shouts even though he knows Chan can't hear him.
Just a few more feet. A few more gear shifting. A few more speed.
"His brakes are going to be so bad!" Jeongin cries out.
The crowd departed, making room for the cars to cross the finish line. Becoming anxious for who was to win.
Felix was crossing his fingers. Jeongin internally crying for Chan's brakes and engine.
Minho scolding Jisung for betting $100. Jisung waving him off and hoping that his friend will win.
"I can't watch!" Jisung screams as he covers his eyes as the racers were nearing them.
"Tell me who wins!" He continues.
The crowd soon felt the air passing by them as the two racers cross the finish line.
Cheering as they all saw the clear winner.
"Who won!?" Jisung asks as he uncovers his eyes and sees the two cars coming to a halt. Tires screeching and burning rubber.
"He won! Chan won!" Felix shouts and shakes the squirrel boy by the shoulders.
Jisungs body bobbing to the shake. Then grabbing Felix by the shoulders and shaking him and screaming in excitement.
"He won!" Felix shouts again.
"I won $200!" Jisung exclaims.
They stop the shaking and hurriedly went to Chan's side.
The elder shutting the engine and getting out of his car.
People crowding around him as they congratulate him for another winning.
Double B sat in his car. Upset that he lost. But what was he expecting?
This was Bang Chan; All time Champion of the East Side.
Nonetheless, he shut his engine and got out of his car. Gaining enough of his ego to give his congrats.
The crowd that once surrounded Chan had now departed. Silently watching the South and East come together.
Chan's friends were by his side, also watching silently.
Double B sticks his hand out. Chan looks at it and grabs it firmly.
And with a firm shake, Double B said,
"Call me Bam."
And that's how Chan gained another racers respect.
From a far, there were was a person who had watched the whole race.
And now knows Bang Chan's dirty little secret.
