Summary: Aubrey and Kel are now both broke college students.
Ships: Aubrey x Kel
Content warnings: Slight mentions of grief
Genre: Domestic fluff, a bit of hurt/comfort (but mostly comfort don't worry)
Notes: Rarepair ship time :) I know most of the Omori ships are puns, so I'm not 100% sure on what Kel and Aubrey's actual ship name is. I've heard a few people call it baseball or some other sports related thing but I'm not sure. Let me know if there's a cute one!

"Kel, how many times do I have to remind you? I'm only your roommate because-"
"I'm the bestest and most coolest friend ever?"
"-I need someone to help me pay rent. Now get off, I'm not helping you with your stupid homework."
Currently, Aubrey was peacefully watching TV. Or at least she would be, if it wasn't for the annoying prick trying to get her to listen by laying his entire body weight all across her lap. He was like a dog.
The kind that did nothing but whine whenever it wanted attention.
"But Auuubreeeyy, how the heck am I supposed to know how to do calculus?"
"By paying attention in class. And the fact that you even managed to get into a calculus course is beyond me. And seriously," She let out a heavy sigh. "You're like six feet tall and are constricting my ability to breath. Get off."
"Six foot four, actually." He said pointedly.
Aubrey glared. "Do you know how cocky you sound? I swear, I'm going to smack you."
"Hehe, no you aren't." He put his hands behind his head, resting against the arm of the couch. "What are you gonna do? Get out your nail bat?"
She cringed. "God, don't remind me of my edgy rebellious phase..."
Kel burst out a laugh. "Yeah, you never actually used that thing did you? Really proves you always were a softie."
"It was for intimidation factor." She said through gritted teeth.
"Still."
She rolled her eyes. "Whatever. I'm still not helping you. Why don't you call Basil or something?"
"Can't. He's at work." Kel said, a bit disappointed. Basil worked at a flower shop near his community college, so he was a bit farther away from everyone else and they didn't get to see him as often as they used to. But it was good that he was keeping busy.
"Sunny?"
"I think he's sleeping?"
Aubrey scrunched her nose in judgement. "It's two in the afternoon."
"I mean, it's Sunny." While things definitely changed in the years since all of them started going to school independently, Sunny's sleep schedule was still completely botched. Some things just never change...
"True." She sighed. "What about Hero?"
Kel almost laughed. "Psshhh, he's fed up with me. 'Sides, I ask for his help waaay too much." Hero was as busy as ever, and also happened to be the only one in their friend group who actually took his classes seriously. Well, Hero's version of serious, anyways. Meaning six AP classes, millions of clubs and afternoon activities, and community service opportunities that he did willingly.
"I refuse to believe that. He's always willing to help you, no matter how much he has on his plate."
"Eh, I think he's stressed. Don't wanna bother him."
