It turns out Stella can actually be really nice when you don't expect anything from her, but Maya spent all her morning talking and comforting Stella which meant she had to hurry to get ready for her first morning class.

Mrs. Dowling spoke to the fairies as they all sat inside the stone circle, her confidence showing her knowledge and wisdom. "Magic lives in the very fabric of nature," the headmistress started in a very monotone voice, "in here, in our circle of stone it is magnified. The vessel tests your ability to channel that magic."

Maya looked at the vessel nervously, scared of hoe she would be able to channel her abilities in the visual form. She had never been able to create a form of visual power but maybe with the vessel it would make it easier.

"Further down the line, you may learn to connect other elements," Dowling spoke, walking past Maya, "But your first year is all about the element you were born with."

"Earth," Mrs Dowling called, waiting for the earth fairy's to form a line in front of the vessel ready to present there ability's. Terra was one of the first to excitedly raise her hand walking over to the middle of the stone circle. The earth fairy smiled as she calmly guided a small sapling to grow from the metal bowl.

"Soil. Sand. Rock. All matter of plant life."

Maya looked over at Terra wordlessly as she expertly spun the vines together to make a braid like structure.

"water."

Aisha was the next from there group of friends to go up to the metal bowl in the centre of the circle. raising her hands at either side to pull water up from the rock leaving that area extremely dry. The water particles began to rise up in a crystal-like shape as it melded in and out of its shape.

"The lakes and oceans of the world. Or the molecules that exist in the organisms around us."

The entire sight was extremely calming watching Aisha manipulate the water to create fountain effects of sorts.

"Air."

Dowling called next, which led to an auburn-haired fairy to confidently strut to the vessel, barely looking back to give her classmates a smug look before effortlessly controlling her magic in the vessel. She wasn't sure how but Maya could tell that this girl was bad news, it was like her magic had a bad vibe.

"Temperature. Speed. Sound. Its power and electrical properties."

The girl who announced herself as Beatrix raised her hand in the air. Maya watched as the electricity appeared to be floating in between her fingertips. Beatrix's powers could kill someone in seconds. Technically all fairy magic could kill but with the amount of power Beatrix had it wound be inadequate for it to end up in the wrong hides. Her emotions were nowhere near happy.

"Mind"

Dowling called all of the mind fairies up, causing Musa to grin at her sisters groaning. Maya was extremely nervous as she began to chew on her lip aggressively, noticing there were only two other mind fairy's in there year. With a huff the girl pushed herself from where she was sitting walking towards the end of the line with her sister in front of her.

"Thoughts. Memories. Dreams."

Dowling informed the class before looking at the first mind fairy in the line. Much to Maya's dismay the mind fairy specialized in projecting images, making her even more nervous about what she will create.

Once it was Musa's turn she pulled on her headphones and created a lovely purple ball, the ball that floated with her mid but was being moved by her hands.

Maya tried to hide her disappointment when it was her turn, getting signalled up by Dowling. Sucking in a deep breath, the mind fairy walked up to the vessel, firmly placing both hands either side of the bowl, her eyes glowing ready to try to preform her magic but what nobody else sees, except Dowling, was that her eyes were glowing green with a think layer of purple around the outside, and this really perks the headmistresses curiosity because she had only seen this happen to one fairy before and she became powerful, she became the second most powerful fairy the headmistress knew.
