Percy bowed stiffly at the Fates. Clotho stepped up. "I apologize, young hero, but you cannot turn down immortality." Percy choked. They really were taking everything from him, huh? His friends, his sanity, now his mortality? But... There was no use arguing. If it was his fate, then it was his fate.
"Ok." Percy murmured, feeling like he was holding the sky again. To his surprise, Zeus actually seemed sympathetic, before motioning all the Olympians up. They created a swirling ball of colours. This is probably gonna hurt. Sure enough, when the ball hit him, he felt excruciating pain, making him fall down to his knees, twitching slightly. "We pronounce you the 15th Olympian, Perseus Jackson. God of seas, demigods, loyalty, heroes, sacrifice, time (there were a few gasps at that), and the elements (cue more gasps). Your sacred animal is the pegasus-" The Fates were interrupted by Hestia.
"I would like to make him my champion. Do you accept, Percy?" Percy nodded mutely, still trying to recover from the pain, and the fact that he was immortal.
The Fates nodded. "Then your symbols are pegasi, phoenixes, and Anaklusmos." Then they were gone. The silence in the throne room was broken by Percy's sobs.
Next chapter is longer, this was just a scene cuz I didn't want 2 add it 2 the first chapter.
