Percy charged at the army, hoping for a miracle. Jason raised his eyebrow at him, and the rest of the Seven. "Together?"

Percy nodded. "Always.". They charged.

Stab, dodge, slash, duck, roll, repeat. Percy was broken out of his steady pattern by a cry of rage and pain. Sparing a second, he gasped as he saw Jason holding Piper's broken body. "Please Pipes! Don't leave me...". As yet another monster attacked, Percy was forced to turn back to the battle, fighting with renewed vigour and rage. He wasn't aware that he had summoned a hurricane, but he was aware of his Wise Girl behind him, fighting back to back. Please, don't let any others be taken from us. Percy silently begged the Fates. Alas, just as he finished the prayer, Hazel let out an anguished cry. Frank's piece of wood had been snatched and burned by the Chimera. The bag Leo had made had been torn to shreds. Frank dissolved into ashes, leaving a broken Hazel. Even as Percy watched, a hellhound sprang onto Hazel, and she was gone. Looking at Annabeth's pale face, Percy knew she had seen their deaths too. "Come on. The least we can do is avenge them," she murmured.

"Yeah," Percy replied, "let's send these monsters to Tartarus." Then Gaea rose. Percy realized that the Athena Parthenos had been keeping her at bay, but as more demigods died, its power weakened. Jason was blasted out of the sky by an earth fist. He lay limp, as the Minotaur gutted him. Percy choked, almost failing to deflect a blow. Scanning the field, he was horrified to see Leo collapsed in a puddle of water. Only he and Annabeth were left. They charged at Gaea. Percy was dimly aware of gods fighting and crying over their dead children. He and his Wise Girl worked together seamlessly, having trained together for years. Then it happened. Percy watched in slow motion as Gaea, with a laugh, thrust a spear into his Wise Girl. No. She can't be... Gone. Percy caught her as she fell. "Please... Don't leave me...". He pleaded.

Annabeth smiled softly. "Live your life, ok? I'll see you in Elysium." Her eyes closed. Percy's world stopped. She was dead. The person he fell into Tartarus for. The person he loved. The person who kept him sane. Gone. And he knew perfectly well who did it. He slowly stood up. His glare was enough to make Gaea flinch. He yelled, and all the water on the battlefield rose up, becoming a swirling hurricane. It lifted Gaea up. Percy duelled her, barely feeling any pain from his numerous wounds. He clenched his fist together, controlling the blood in Gaea's body. As the hurricane dissolved what was left of her essence, Percy gave in to pain and exhaustion. He was dimly aware of his father catching him before his eyes closed. Little did he know, there were more losses to follow.

Percy woke up in a white room, Apollo tending to his injuries. The memories hit him. He looked at Apollo. "Are they- really dead?". He knew the answer, but he had to cling onto whatever shred of hope there was. Apollo nodded sadly. Another thought hit him. "What about Nico and Reyna? And the Hunters?" Apollo looked down, not meeting Percy's eyes. "Sorry, lil' cuz. Nico... He overexerted himself. Thalia's also gone. Reyna's still alive though," he added. "Could I have some time alone?" Percy asked, keeping his voice devoid of emotion. Apollo gave him a sympathetic look and left.

1 day later

Percy had healed from all of his physical scars. His emotional ones? Not so much. Poseidon greeted his son, smiling sadly. "The gods wish to reward you." Nodding, Percy accepted his father's embrace, and walked into the room.

"REYNA AVILA RAMIREZ-ARENELLO! (Spelling?)" Zeus thundered. "FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OLYMPUS, WE ARE OFFERING YOU FULL IMMORTALITY, AS A PERMANENT PRAETOR OF NEW ROME! DO YOU ACCEPT?"

Reyna nodded. "I would be honoured, Lord Zeus." Zeus nodded. White light enveloped Reyna. She fell down to one knee.

"THEN RISE, REYNA, MINOR GODDESS OF NEW ROME AND WAR!" Zeus moved on to Thalia.

Zeus turned to Percy, his eyes softening. This time, he spoke in a normal voice. "Perseus Jackson. You have now saved Olympus two times. We are prepared to offer you a spot as an Olympian." His voice stated that he already knew perfectly well that Percy was going to deny the offer.

"Thank you for the offer, Lord Zeus. But I must decline." Percy spoke, voice laced with grief.

Zeus nodded.

Then the Fates appeared.

Welp... I'm lazy, so ending this here. The next chapter will be still be in the past, and then I'll move back to present
