A/N: Hey, sorry for not updating this in so long. This is a soulmate AU of Glorybringer. It'll probably make no sense whatsoever. Please read the author's note at the bottom of the chapter

It was the first day of school. Glory mumbled to herself as she walked to class, staring at her right wrist.

     Deathbringer

Why did it have to be a NightWing, of all tribes? She hated NightWings. And what's with the creepy name?

She sighed to herself, and reached to pull her hoodie sleeve down when she collided with something and lost her balance, falling to the floor. Her skull made a small, painful impact with the tiles.

Glory groaned and sat up, rubbing her head. She opened her eyes to see what she had run into, and found herself staring straight into the dark blue eyes of perhaps the most attractive person she had ever seen (A/N: I'm not entirely sure what color eyes he has, so I just went with my best guess)

It took a moment for Glory to register that this insanely good-looking person was a NightWing, and she immediately felt disgusted at herself.

This unfamiliar boy also seemed to be entranced by her. He suddenly snapped out of it, and gave his head a quick little shake, standing up from his crouch as he did so.

"Are you alright?" The boy asked, extending his right arm to offer her his hand. God, even his voice was hot.

Glory stared at him, dumbfounded. It took a few seconds for her to realize that he had asked her a question.

"Yes, I'm alright." She contemplated taking his hand for a second, not wanting to seem weak. You have to accept help sometimes, Glory.

She reached out with her right hand, and the dark haired boy grabbed it, pulling her back on her feet. She was probably imagining it, but she swore a spark raced up her arm as they touched.

Glory tried to pull her hand away, but the boy's grip was firm. She looked at the NightWing, who was staring at her wrist in shock. She attempted again to yank her wrist from his grasp, once again failing.

The boy looked up at her, and released his grip, only to reach for his own sleeve. Glory stood there, trying to decide if she should stay, like he seemed to want her to, or walk away and got to class. She decided on the former, and watched the boy with curiosity.

He had finished pulling up his sleeve, and proceeded to extend his arm so the girl could see it.

     Glory

She read her own name off of his arm. An odd combination of emotions filled Glory. Some she couldn't quite place. Joy? Disgust? Fear? All of these and more. She realized that the NightWing was looking at her, observing her reaction.

"So, I guess we're soulmates then, huh?" Glory announced.

"I suppose so," the boy- no- Deathbringer agreed.

     "What do we do now?"

     "Whatever you want."

At that point, most of the students had gone to their class, the halls almost empty.

"What class do you have next?" Glory asked.

"History," Deathbringer answered, rolling his eyes and heaving a deep sigh.

"Me too," Glory said, excitement filling her, even though she hated History. "Do you want to suffer through it together?"

Deathbringer smiled at that, and nodded. They took each other's hand and walked to, actually, they had no idea. Glory was the first to say something.

"Do you know what room that is? I lost my schedule," Glory inquired, eyes darting around.

"Nope. No idea. I lost my schedule as well," Deathbringer laughed.

     "Screw it. Wanna ditch?"

     "Is that even a question?"

Glory smiled and they walked out of the school, hand in hand. They had finally found their soulmates.

As they left school behind, Glory decided to ask Deathbringer something that she had been wondering for a long time.

"Why is your name so weird?"

A/N: God I hate this so much. I had started this draft months ago and finally decide to finish it now. I do realize that it's too fast, and this is nothing like their actual characters, but ya know. I'm not really into this fandom much anymore, and I don't think I'll be continuing this book.
