The Fun Begins

"Okay Mr.Cavanaugh Miss Hastings

Basically chemo is going to get rid of all the cancer cells. Miss Cavanaugh you will probably lose your hair in the process.

Side affects will be a definite, most common are extreme nausea, dry mouth, mild headaches and fatigue.

Dr. Blackburn will be in an one second to start the chemo.

"Are you ready to begin" Dr.Blackburn said when he walked in.

I nodded my head in agreement.

When he stuck the needle in my arm I was overcome by nausea. I didn't realize how fast it worked.

"Toby" I got out.

He rushed over with the bucket in his hands.

"Its okay, it's all okay I'm here." He said as he rubbed my back soothingly.

"Hey Spence you should drink some water" Toby told me when I woke up.

"Surprise" Hanna, Caleb, Emily and Paige yelled.

"How's my Einstein?" Hanna asked me as she sat down on the bed next to me.

Better, now that I'm finally getting used to the chemo.

"That's great to hear, we brought you some things" Emily said.

"Yes we did in matter of fact it was my idea Caleb said

We each brought you something that makes us feel better."

"I brought some Gatorade." Paige said with a smile.

"I brought scented candles that relieve stress." Emily said with a giggle.

I brought you some flavored soup it's just water and flavoring, I don't actually like this but I figured it would be easier to keep down than 12 gallons of chunky monkey. Caleb said with a guilty face.

I brought makeup, nail polish, my bedazzeler and every type of magazine ever invented. Hanna said with a face-spliting grin.

"Well I brought this" Toby said as a man brought in a deep blue electric blanket with a pink heart in the middle. But as I got a closer look there was a picture in the middle of me, Toby, Hanna, Caleb, Emily, Paige, Aria and Ezra.

"Toobbyyy" I stuttered as a tear slipped down my cheek.

"Sorry were late" Aria said as she burst through the door.

"It's Okay" Toby said "Aria Ezra what did you bring?"

"Well I brought these" Aria said as she held up deep blue and pink lanterns. "As you can see Toby and I color coordinated."

"I brought this bad boy."Ezra said as he held up a big deep blue massage pillow.

"Thank you guys so much!" I said.

"Oh and Toby you are going to go out with Ezra and Caleb while we take care of Spencer." Emily said.

"No not going to happen".

"Yes it is we got this" Hanna said.

"No I'm not leaving".

"Please" I begged.

"Spencer I'm not leaving you".

He said as he cupped my head in his hands and planted a light kiss on my lips.
