Settle

Not much has passed in the last few weeks. As Jennie and Chaeyoung have already noticed I was head over heels for Lisa and she didn't even know. But that's okay, it's not the first time I've pinned over someone, just not a friend before. A friend... that's all she would be. And I'm okay with that, really. I'm not at all okay. But I have to manage, I have to settle with her friendship.

Oblivious as Lisa was about my feelings I couldn't help but to think that she and I had a connection. We were meant to meet that day and that made me happy, content. Chae was of much help too. Thanks to her I constantly went to the dance team practice (at least 3 times a week if I didn't have lots of homework or due projects) and we made teams in our shared classes which we sometimes reviewed during the breaks (that also helped explain why I was always around).

"Okay so, now we have to make the fake planning of how we would teach philosophy?" Chae said scratching her head with a confused look.

We were sitting on the floor while the rest of the team were either laying on the ground hyperventilating or, if they were Lisa and Seulgi looking like sweaty models, double checking the moves in front of the mirror.

"Kind of, but it's not fake planning. We actually have to make it as if we were already the professors. I can choose the themes to review in class and you can summarize them so that together we can make the questions for the pop quiz." I explained. She nodded as she huffed, still trying to catch her breath.

"Sorry, this new routine is killing me." She laughed lightly. As she was heaving, droplets of sweat were falling from her temple, to her chin and all the way down to her neck. I reached with my fingers without thinking and caught a few. "There you go, all clean now" I joked and wiped them on my jeans. I didn't even noticed I had leaned closer and we were face to face.

I felt a pang at the back of my head, as if someone was staring right at me. I turned around and Lisa was looking at us with a frown but as soon she locked her eyes with mine she sighed and turned around. What did just happen?

"Did that just... happened?" Chaeyoung said. I said confused "What do you mean?"

"Lisa is jealous as fuck Rosie, can't you see?" She smiled "Maybe you can use that in your favor, hell if you need me, use me." Her offer baffled me and I scoffed.

"That's not something I would like to do... it's not how things are supposed to work, to cause jealousy is mean for the other person. Even if they're not interested that way." I looked down and toyed with my pen. "Hey, hey. Forget I said that, just don't get sad okay? Things will work out." She lifted my chin and smiled. Her positivity was infectuous. I really liked having her as a friend.

"There you go! Your smile is very pretty, Rosie" she said and then her face fell for a second before recovering "isn't that right, Lisa?" She said looking up. I turned around and Lisa was standing behind me with a strange look in her face.

"I- yes, it is. You have a pretty smile. Is- erm, is everything okay?" Lisa said nervously. "Um, sorry I'm not interrumping you, am I?"

"No! No, no. Not at all. We were finished discussing the details of our project." I quickly said. Chae and I stood up. "I guess I should get going and leave you guys to finish the practice." I turned around to put my stuff in my bag.

"Sure. Take care Rosie. See you tomorrow." Chae did a little wave, winked at me and went to talk with the other girls.

I began walking and Lisa took my hand in hers "Are we not going for dinner?" She asked with a pout. I couldn't help but to smile at her childish reaction. I freed my hand from hers and said "You looked a bit tired and you're also probably sick of me already, don't you have other friends?" I raised my eyebrow jockingly.
