Dexter's big date

Maddie, Raven, and I were having a good ol' chat in the middle of the hall books in hand.

'Being at this school is completely different from new orleans I mean do you guys have Mardi gras' I ask. 'Mardi what's?' Raven asked 'Jazz bands that play music in the streets and you just dance around and have a blast' I said missing home a little bit.

Time skip
'So this weekend you me?' dexter asked me 'Are you insinuating that we go on date' I ask 'yesss' he said with a shrill voice 'I'd love to' I say skip away from humming an old jazz tune.

Dexter did end up taking me out we went for coffee and I brought mama's famous beignets.

'Uhh Ara um when I asked you out I was just practicing on asking another girl' dexter tried to let me down 'Am I not good enough' I ask over dramatically 'What? N-no yo-your beautiful...'he stammered 'I know I'm just rowing your canoe I quite like the company' I smile 'Y'know what I do to' he said eating a beignet.

'Who's accompanying you to the dance' I ask Raven 'Dexter, you' she replied  'oh Daring asked me so I suppose he'll do' I reply nonchalantly 'wait your going with Daring y'know apple and he have a thing' Raven stated 'well why does she keep saying their not a "couple" I say putting air quotes around the couple.

'I have to go if I'm to late maddie let's Earl grey sleep in my bed' I say 'goodnight Ara' Raven called 'and an enchantedly goodnight to you' I say
