I was so upset that I threw a chair on my balcony over the side, almost hitting one of my brothers.

" Hey watch it!" He growled.

"Maybe you should pay attention, Hades." I growled back.

"What's wrong with her?" His friend asked in a hushed tone.

I heard him. "Nothing you good for nothing demon." I stormed back into my room slamming the balcony door behind me.

I looked at myself in the mirror. My eyes were still on fire.  I punched the glass, cutting my hand. I watched the red liquid fall to the ground. My hand quickly healed and I jumped onto my bed and screamed in frustration, burying my head in the pillow. Luckily mostly everything in Hell is fire proof or I would have set my pillow on fire.

I don't know how long I laid there but I didn't care. I just laid there running scenarios through my head about me running Hell. Is it that bad? I mean I wouldn't have to worry about my future because it's been decided. Plus I wouldn't have to run errands for my siblings like I do now. I shook my head. No don't think like that. I don't want this. I went on and on debating with a myself.

There was a knock on the door. I didn't answer. He or she knocked harder.

Without lifting my head I mumbled "Go away!" I guarantee they didn't understand me. I didn't care.

Again they knocked. It sounded like they were going to knock the door down.

"Ugh," I said to myself and lifted up my head and yelled very loudly and clearly, "LEAVE ME ALOOOONE!" I buried my head once more into my pillow.

Apparently they didn't care what mood I was in because I heard my door open. I scolded myself for not locking it.

"You know its bad luck to break a mirror." I recognized that voice in an instant. It was  Hellen.

"Its only a myth" I mumbled.

"What? Sit up and let me look at you."

I did as I was told. "I said its a myth. Plus we are demons If anything we are the ones that cause bad luck." I said. I looked at her as a child would her mother. Heck, she was the only mother I've known. I wanted so badly to hug her like I used to when I was younger and for her to tell me that it's fine that father won't stay mad. But I am older now. I am one hundred and forty to be exact, a teenager in Hell so she would reject the hug. Then scold me because demons don't hug each other.

"Aw your eyes aren't on fire anymore. I wanted to see that." She looked disappointed.

"Father told you?" I asked looking down.

"Yup. Everything. Oh and I was sent to get you for dinner."

"I don't want dinner. I am not hungry and I don't want to see father at the moment."

" He won't be happy."

" I don't care." I sighed.

" You are just like your mother. You look like her too." My father had 7 wives , if you call them that, so far. My mother being the last. She was incredibly nice, human like for a demon, but incredibly powerful. Father liked that, he liked change, chaos. So being a man who gets what he wants he got my mother, seduced her and had me. Her only child.

"thanks? I think?" I didn't know how to take that. I get a lot of hate usually for being too nice and kind. And a lot of people are sarcastic when they give me compliments.

"I just wonder how you got to be so. Nice like, it's odd. So why would father choose you," Her voice changed from curiosity to a serious , almost frightening tone, "You aren't that strong, you barely leave your room and you no nothing about instilling fear into people to get them to listen to you. Killing one person, even as an infant isn't enough. You lack experience," She moved in closer and glared at me as if she was peering into my soul, " So why choose you over me or any of our other siblings?"

" I don't know." Was all I could say because that's all I honestly know. I wish I had those answers but I don't.

"Hmm, interesting." She turned around and left just like that, closing the door behind her.

I just sat there and sighed.

"Eh. I hope I turn into a blob sitting here because it will save me from dealing with a lot of problems." I said to myself and fell onto my bed and stared at the ceiling.

After a while I fell into a dreamless sleep hoping when I wake up that all of this would just be a nightmare.
