Chapter 4

~Time skip to senior year in high school~

"Hey Y/n." Mikasa said walking up to Y/n with Sasha and Historia.

"Oh hey Mikasa, Sasha, and Historia what's up?" Y/n asked.

"When are you gonna get a boyfriend?" Mikasa asked nonchalantly. 

"Yeah Y/n? I have Connie and Historia has Ymir. So like when are you gonna get a boyfriend?" Sasha asked.

Jean, Marco, Eren, and Ymir were all talking and eves dropping on this conversation when all of a sudden Jean starts singing this song

and then Mikasa hears this and says, " Y/n look Jean's singing a song!" 

Of course Y/n gets excited and turns around and the girls giggle and Y/n is all flustered when she turns around because Jean knows it's her favorite song by that band and plus she's never heard him sing so as soon as he finishes the song she books it for the bathroom and locks herself in the first stall she can.

~Time skip to after senior year~

~Y/n is in college and working a part time job at a cafe and is still living at home with her parents. Jean is a mechanic but isn't a licensed one he gets paid about $200 to $300 per customer depending on the damage to the vehicle they are both 19 years old. They both live at home with parents.~

"Y/n I'm gonna need you to close up tonight for me okay?" Y/n's boss said.

"Okay I can do that." Y/n said as she wiped down a table a couple of customers had just left.

As y/n was finishing up wiping down the table Jean had walked into the cafe the door had rang.

"Hello how can I-"Y/n stopped as she looked up.

"Y/n?" Jean asked confused.

"Jean?" Y/n asked.

"Hey..." Jean said.

"Oh my god you've changed so much. What can I get for you? We have so much to catch up on." Y/n said.

"Yeah. Um I'll take a coffee and an omelette." Jean said.

"You sure haven't changed you still love your omelettes." y/n said and giggled as she took his order and left to make his food since she knew exactly how he liked his omelette and since he was the only customer at the moment.

~5 minutes later~

Y/n came back with Jean's omelette and coffee which had a little heart in it she knew how he liked his coffee from how he was when she ate at his house when they were younger unless he's changed so she just fixed it to how he used to like it and then she handed it to him.

"T-thank you Y/n" Jean said blushing now noticing her maid outfit (in the pic above).

"Your welcome." Y/n said with a beaming smile as she sat down across from him waiting for him to eat and tell her how she did.

"Um what are you doing?" Jean asked.

"Well I don't have any other customers right now so I figured we could talk while you eat and catch up unless you don't want to I can go and wipe down tables and stuff." Y/n said.

"Well It's just its kind of embarrassing to have you watch me eat ya know?" Jean said as a question.

"Oh well I'll come back then I'll just wipe down some tables then until your done then. But the moment your done we're catching up til I have another customer got it!" Y/n said forcefully.

"O-okay."Jean stuttered out cause he was flustered because of the compromising position you were posing in.

"Good, talk to you soon." Y/n said and walked off.

Jean let out a breath of air that he didn't know he was holding and started eating the omelette and drinking the coffee while he watched Y/n wipe down tables. 

~10 minutes later~

"Okay I'm done Y/n." Jean said softly.

"Good." Y/n said walking back over to his table and sitting down across from him.

"Sooo.." Jean started.

"How ya been?" Y/n asked.

"Been good got a non official job as a mechanic getting paid about $200 to $300 depending on what I gotta do sometimes more. How about you?" Jean said.

"Been okay college is going great. Got this job too to help me get supplies for college. I just miss being able to hang out with you ya know." Y/n said looking down.

"Well maybe we can catch up over dinner sometime." Jean said lifting Y/n's chin so she's looking at him.

"Really you'd wanna do that?" Y/n asked.
"Well yeah you are my best friend after all." Jean said.

Y/n felt a pain in her heart when he said that but she knew he probably forgot that she had confessed to him back that summer after middle school so its fine one day she'll gain the courage to do it again.

"Right, yeah best friends." Y/n said.

"Listen here's my new number. xxx-xxx-xxxx i gotta go for now but text me sometime so we can go do dinner okay I really do miss hanging out with you." Jean said.

"Thanks I'll save that." Y/n said.
