because today you were going to try to confess to Jean through a song and hopefully if he didn't get it you could just say you wanted to sing to him so. You might do it at the new Karaoke place in town and invite Connie and Sasha along too because they've been bugging to hear you sing and things so after you put your hair up in a ponytail (if you don't have long enough hair ignore this) and then texted Jean.
texts between Jean:
10:00 am
Y/n: Hey wanna go to the new Karaoke place in town with me?
Jean: Sure! What time tho?
Y/n: Um anytime also you should invite Connie and Sasha they've been wanting to hear me sing for a while now and I plan on singing while were there.
Jean: Okay so want to come on over and I can tell them to come to my place and then we can walk to the new Karaoke place together?
Y/n: Sure I'll be there soon ! :p
Jean: Kay see ya in a few minutes.
You started panicking because you didn't expect him to want you to meet up before the karaoke place "It'll be fine just breathe just breathe." Y/n said taking a deep breath, and then she went to her mom's office and told her the plan and her mom squealed with excitement and wished you luck and said, "Honey just stay calm and most importantly have fun up there okay."
Y/n walked out her front door and started to walk the 5 blocks to Jean's and was met by Connie and Sasha and Connie said, "Hey Y/n heard you was gonna be singing can't miss that."
Sasha said, "I just hope it'll be fun."
"Yeah anyways let me just call Jean." Y/n said pulling out her phone.
Y/n Dialed Jean's number and he picked up immediately and said, "Hey what's up?"
"Well Connie, Sasha and I are all outside waiting on you." Y/n said.
"Oh well I'll be right down hang on." Jean said as you heard sounds of him running downstairs and then opening the front door and then you hung up the phone.
"Okay so Y/n what song are you gonna sing?" Connie asked.
"W-well that's a surprise you gotta wait and see." Y/n said with a blush stealing glances at Jean.
"Jean you know Y/n better than us what kind of music does she listen to?" Connie asked.
"Huh well some K-pop, um a little bit of old school music, really a little bit of everything she surprises me a lot of the time with music so it will be a shocker what she chooses honestly." Jean said.
