My eyes were greeted with such bright, dazzling light. Halos masilaw ako. My eyes had been floating in darkness for so long, that's why.

Nang tuluyan nang umayos ang aking mga paningin ay saka ko lang napagtanto kung nasaan ako ngayon. I looked around the whole room and it seemed like this place was unused for a very long time. I could say, I was first to be brought here. This infirmary had been useless for so long since not a single one in our Mafia needed treatment or what.

It's a shame to be here, really. Am I weak? No. Unfortunate perhaps.

I tried to get up and then I felt a sting of pain on my thigh. Ugh, this must be where I got shot.

My fingers trailed over the cast that's been wrapping around my wound. I clenched my fist and scowled over this hideous sight of my thigh. I could feel that my shoulder had been wrapped with adhesive bandages too. Pretty shameful. Shot twice?

Napadako naman bigla ang paningin ko sa pinto nang marinig kong bumukas ito.

"Oi oi, the beast has awoken," saad ni Xai saka siya naupo sa kama kung saan ako nagpapahinga.

Nakatayo naman ang dalawa ko pang kapatid sa gilid ng kama habang nakatingin sa kung ano ang kinalalagyan ko ngayon. "Kumusta na pakiramdam mo?" Xander asked.

"Must be frustrating to be here, don't you think?" said Xenon. The sly in his tone made me look at him sharply. Minsan lang mang-inis 'tong gagong 'to pero sobra. My sharp eyes were then diverted to Xander as I heard him chuckled. Isa din 'to eh.

"Chill bro," awat naman ni Xai, at saka nag-iba ang ekspresyon ng mukha nito. He's actually worried. Then I looked at the other two, at gano'n din sila.

I rolled my eyes. "C'mon guys. You think I'd die just like that?" I assuringly told them. "I'm fine."

"Yeah, 'yang kakupalan mo talaga ang papatay sa'yo," ani Xenon at saka inayos ang eyeglasses niya.

"You're not the only one we're worried about," simula ni Xai. "Remember, we failed in our mission. Had they get to discover what's inside that chip, we'll be doomed."

That must have slipped from my mind. Di nga pala kami nagtagumpay sa mission namin. Putanginang Jandelle kasi yan eh. They knew what's to come if they do that, pero tinuloy pa rin nila ang balak nila. No, I'm not sure if that's what really why they were there, perhaps they just took the chance to take away the casket because they knew how badly we wanted to acquire it.

"Nah, guys. Have you all forgotten already? They won't, I mean- they can't discover what's inside that chip since it will only activate with Hugo's invention."

"Which makes our current problem a lot worse," Xander countered. I shot him with a questioning look. Wala akong ideya sa sinasabi niya.

"You see, wala dito si Hugo ngayon, and he's not answering calls nor replying to text messages. Hindi rin natin alam o nakita man lang ang imbensyon niya na kayang i-activate yung chip," paliwanag niya.

My, my. I only slept a night while this thing happens. Are they saying na tinraydor kami ni Hugo? That can't be.

Sinubukan kong tumayo pero ramdam ko pa din ang sakit sa hita ko. Ininda ko iyon para hindi nila ako pigilan.

"Are you sure you can do this?" Xai asked with a worried look in his eyes.

"Of course," I quickly answered. "What do you take me for, a weakling?"

Xander handed me the crutches.

The weight of the cast on my thigh is another thing that's so frustrating right now. The main thing is the feeling of anger, squeezing my insides. Hindi ko matanggap na tinraydor kami ni Hugo. Isang tao sa buhay ko na aking iniidolo. Tinuturing kong isang ama, pati ang anak niya'y tinuring ko din na isang kapatid.
