Sk8 the Infinity One Shots~

Skating Incident, Tadashi x Reader

Pain shot up through your arms and knees as you flew off your skateboard, tumbling forward until you hit your head on the corner of the track.

Not even seconds before, you were racing against a well known S skater, Shadow, who had happened to get annoyed at you beating him, resulting in him sending mini hand grenades, completely throwing you off your course. The wheels of your skateboard scraped against the rocky, uneven ground of the track, taking away all your balance and control.

Everyone stopped what they were doing, silence growing over the crowd after seeing the horrific crash, looking at your state on the giant screen.

All except one, Tadashi. He immediately jumped on his skateboard, racing down the track as fast as he could to get to you. He was full of fear, no longer being cautious of how fast he was going, his one and only concern was you.

He got to you quick, quicker than anyone else could. He ran towards your limp body, throwing his board to the side carelessly, ignoring the stares he was getting from random people trying to get a look of the situation.

Shadow was standing there, unsure whether or not to help or keep his pride as the competitive skater he is.

He quickly dropped to the floor, pulling you body towards his, desperate to feel your heartbeat as a sign you were okay, his hands trembling as he reached for your wrist, gently sighing with relieve as he felt your pulse. You were alive, and that is all that mattered.

He took a deep breath, pulling you closer as well as being overly cautious, trying not to hurt you any more than you already were. "Y/n, Y/n can you hear me??"

His hot breath brushed over your face, which was scrunched up in pain as you were trying to hold in your tears, your bottom lip trembling ever so slightly. You let out a small nod, hoping that Tadashi would be able to pick it up.

"It's okay, your okay now" Tadashi soothed, gently stroking your hair as you layed half conscious in his lap. "I've got you.."

Despite the situation, nobody had moved, not a single inch. Everyone was staring at the scene before them, still in shock. Injuries were quite common at S, but only ever the occasional broken arm or leg, not fatal injuries

This only worried Tadashi more.

He noticed the blood that had began pooling around your knees and the blood dripping down the side of your face, as he saw a large gash just above your right eye from where you had hit the ground.

Tadashi looked around him before picking you up bridal style, wrapping your left arm around his neck and pushing your head into his chest.

Tadashi saw your friends quickly coming to help, that included Reki, Langa, Miya, Kaoru and Kojiro, who were also extremely worried after seeing the unexpected happen right before them. Shadow repeatedly apologised to Tadashi, which he completely ignored as he carried on carrying you up the track.

The next thing you knew you were waking up in a hospital bed, Tadashi's warm sweater had been wrapped around you as you noticed how badly your body ached and stung. You turned you head to the side to see Tadashi sitting in one of those uncomfortable hospital chairs, playing with his fingers and looking down to the ground, as if he was blaming himself for the situation.

"Tads..?" you called out to him,

He hadn't noticed that you had woken up.

He turned his head towards you, his eyes lighting up as soon as he saw you.

"Y/n! Thank god your okay!" he shot you a small smile before looking back down to the ground.

"Tadashi.. are you okay?" You questioned him, he seemed somewhat off.. You could kind of remember his terrified face looking down at your dazed state, calling your name as your vision was blurry, covering in black spots until it was completely dark and you couldn't hear him, or anyone else anymore. I hope it wasn't too frightening for him.

He walked over to you, brushing your red stained hair off your forehead and smiling. "I should be the one asking that, your in hospital Y/n!"

You giggled quietly, reaching your hand up to his hand which was still placed on your forehead. "Yeah I'm good, just a little beaten up i guess.. and I can't believe I lost to Shadow!"

He playfully sighed at you silly remark, sitting on the bed beside you, still holding tightly on to your hand.

"Ugh.. what time is it..?" you said, trying to sit up until you felt a sharp pain shoot through your back, causing your breathing to hitch and some small tears to pool in the corner of your eyes.

"No no Y/n, stay laying down.. please?" he asked, looking worriedly at your injured state.. How stupid of him to allow this to happen to you.. How seriously stupid..

"Uhh.. right now its just past 3am."

"Tadas-"

"I know I know, but I couldn't sleep Y/n. In my defence, I was to worried to even consider sleep.

"Oh yeah? Cute little Tads was worried about me?" You both giggled quietly, comforted by the sound of one another after such a scary event.

After a while, both of you stopped giggling, the room falling silent for a few seconds before you began tapping the bed and reaching your arms out to Tadashi. "Come sleep with me.. please?"

He sheepishly walked over to your bed as you shuffled over to give him room to lay beside you. You both moved around a bit until you were comfy, Tadashi being extra cautious to not hurt you in any way, asking every 5 seconds if you were definitely comfy.

Not even five minutes later, you were both sound asleep, Tadashi's hot breath brushing against your bare neck, keeping you warm in the air conditioned hospital room all throughout the early hours of the morning.
